Whew, it's nippy inside!
We went from having the A/C on for a few day's when it hit 83* inside the house, then being able to leave the windows open for a couple of day's. Now I'm really thinking about turning the heat on since our high is only 63* for the day, and just a couple of degrees warmer tomorrow.
Marty is right, I do have a Banjo, and I do play with it some. But it's a piece of junk, it has a broken\seized tuner on it. Now that I think about it, might be right in Bob's wheelhouse to look at and play with. I'll have to take it over to him to take a look. But I've lost all my finger picks and haven't touched it in a quite a few months.
So Dueling Banjo's is it? What key do we want to learn this in. The video Sparky posts from the movie shows the Guitar and Banjo both capo'd to about the second fret. I usually practice it with an open neck.

Buy you a decent set of tuners if the Banjo is worth putting any money into it.
I'm going to learn the clawhammer style of playing which works good solo because you're actually playing the whole song unlike finger style(Earl Scruggs)where you play pieces and parts(with vamping in between)in a band setting. I'm also more into the old time mountain/folk style of music. Either one is fun though. Now get that thing fixed!
Phew... 20 lbs. of chicken thighs trimmed, vacuum packed and in the freezer.
I hate messing with raw chicken but I sure do like to eat it when it comes off the Weber...

That's a lot of chicken thighs.
A couple of years ago I did 60 chicken thighs for Shari's office. I never heard about anybody getting sick or worse. Guess it was alright.
I'm gonna take the 71# of Boston butts/picnics that's in the freezer out in the morning aND let it dethaw to hit the cooker about 8:30 Saturday morning.

That's probably how many I eat every six months... I do more chicken on the Weber than anything else. My Vortex knock-off is the best way to cook chicken pieces on a Weber Kettle...

That's gonna be a lot of butts. I may be able smell that smoke way over here...
Have a good one, Larry...
71 pounds of pork to go on the grill tomorrow morning at 8am, I always buy mine fresh and then cook before ever freezing.
These are froze because I didn't have anywhere to put that much meat besides in the freezer. Also leaving me with the problem of I couldn't just dethaw it in the fridge. So.... I'm going to have to dethaw them on the counter.... or in this case our spare bathtub.
How long do yall reckon it'll take to dethaw them? All are 8-11 pounds. I'm thinking set them out tonight and let them thaw over night, if they aren't completely done in the morning go with some cold water to finish dethaw in them.
My parents have always done that, but I can't remember how long they'd take, and bad thing is neither can they because it's been to long since they did it last time.
