I have an appointment this morning in Raleigh to get a rock chip repaired. Somewhere along 24/47 coming back from the lake a rock hit the windshield. Shouldn't be a problem getting a good fix, it's about the size of half a dime, and the insurance company is picking up the tab.
Now we have rain chances coming in from Thursday through Saturday, so I may not wash the truck. But I will at least clean and vacuum the interior
Hope everybody has a good day
I pressure washed the jeep yesterday, but I'll hold off on the truck. The amount of dust it picked up is crazy. I just noticed it's time to get the jeep inspected and get the tags done.
Larry, hope you get ole blue ready for the weekend. Wish I could make it down there. Too much going on. Hope to make it to one this summer. Keep us posted on the dates.
You fellas spend too much time cleaning your trucks. I've been telling yall that the thin layer of dust and grime actually protects the paint.
Anyone got a suggestion on where I could get a universal grill cover for my grill? Wanting to move it from under the carport and would like a cover before I do so....

An easy way to cover that grill would be to drape a piece of outdoor vinyl(6' wide)over it and put a couple of bricks on the shelf to hold it in place. On the backside you could tie it or another couple of bricks if the vinyl is long enough. That drum will last many years if kept covered.
every time weve covered a grill they seemed to rust faster than they did when we left them uncovered.. for instance my charcoal grill stays out in the elements all yr long.. only thing ive had to replace was the grill grate.. and the legs.. yeah theres a couple holes on the side of the bowl now.. but hey.. thats more ventilation.. the gas grills weve had 4 of them in the time weve had that charcoal one.. and dads looking at buying yet another one now..
I did get my rock chip fixed, and made it to a spice store in Raleigh that makes a dry rub that I've been using for the last year or two.
Still need to start cleaning the inside of the truck. Chances of rain in a couple of day's, so there isn't much since in cleaning the outside.
Tony, What dates and what lot...lol? Yes, I'm motivated also. I wanted to go to Lake Jordan for a couple of days when we got home, but I need some time to recuperate. I especially enjoy going during the week when we have the whole campground to ourselves.
They're about the same size as the ones at Badin, but the tent pad is part of the site instead of being off to the side. This is the first one we stayed at last year where I had trouble with the trans getting hot and puking a little fluid while backing in. You have to back up hill around a curve and into the 109 ft. driveway. Dummy me didn't think to put the transfer case in low range.
Sweet I haven't made it out to Kerr lake, but my shop foreman at MB always talked about it. He keeps a houseboat out there. Can't miss him gruff red-headed guy.
If you guys do plan a trip in June, enjoy! I won't be able to make it. I mean with the camp cabins on cape look out booked already and all. But if anyone is interested. There are still two open bunks.
