Good Morning North Carolina
Looks like we actually have a day with no rain. I told Shari yesterday evening that I was ready to go shopping. For a boat
Hope y'all have a great weekend. No plans here, I do need to do something for Shari for Mother's Day, although she isn't my mother.... And I really would like to get Ka'Bluey out and stretch his legs. I haven't had him out of the drive way since I degreased it a couple of weekends ago, and was able to ad almost a full gallon of coolant. I'm thinking that is my engine temp building issue.
But now, why was it almost a gallon low I have no idea if one of the last owners did some repairs and didn't get the cooling system topped off, or is it using coolant, and there is never a wet spot of coolant in the drive way.
That BBQ turned out awesome!! Almost ran out of sauce, but just barely had enough. Ended up with a good bit of leftover whish is great because now we have some in the freezer to re heat for dinner a couple times!
I'm not really sure how much this had in it when I started.... but I whooped it. Had a few beers and a couple shots of wild turkey 101, I'll sleep like a baby when I get ready to crash...
Soundslike you had a pretty good cook out Larry
Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mother's in our lives.
I snagged some Ribeye steaks and Lobster Tails to go on the grill today for Shari's Mother's Day dinner.

Y'all behave
Oh it was! I popped my cooler opened this morning to find someone left their beer in my cooler.... so I promptly cracked one open about 11:30 to sample it.... they were okay, I won't buy any but I got 4 more in the fridge now.
We went to IHOP for breakfast with my mom, dad and siblings.
Just checking in before I start on Shari's Mother's day dinner. Ribeye's have been marinating since 11am, Lobster Tails are prepped, and all are waiting for the charcoal to heat up.
Hope y'all are having a nice day.

We're going to Texas Roadhouse tomorrow. Myra went to the zoo in Asheboro yesterday with our daughter, our oldest granddaughter, and our two great grand children. They walked 5 miles, according to the pedometer one had on, so needless to say, Myra is having a lot of trouble getting around today.
Spoke with the Ranger out at the Long Point Cabin Camp on the phone this morning. Trying to figure out if I need to bring a generator. They have power though, in the Cabins I've rented, just not enough Amps to run refrigerators in all cabins, so no fridges, just hot water, stove, lights and a\c. Still two bunks open, if anyone is interested in 4wd beach riding and surf fishing.
Dates are May 31st to June 4th I believe, and I should have an extra seat in the truck, or you can ferry your own 4wd out.
That sounds like it could be fun Josh. Any idea what it would cost We're watching money so we won't have to charge anything on our trip back to Missouri the end of June.
Anybody have any experience with Flowmaster mufflers
I have a deal and a half lined up for tomorrow afternoon, to get a Flowmaster Series 70 muffler, only 2 months old, and the two pipes going to the rear bumper, with 3" tips.
I want more noise, stock is too quiet, but I also want to be able to have a conversation in the truck. This is for my 2011 F150.
You can probably youtube Flowmaster 70 and get an idea of what it will sound like.
As for the trip, I don't know what the break down is going to be. To make sure it got booked I went ahead and paid for the cabins and put down the deposit on the ferry. The cabins ran about 1k and the ferry deposit was 150, I had the total's written down somewhere, but my desk looks about as 'busy' as my shop does. One of these days, I'm going to let Mary at them both, and just do what she tells me to.
Right now it's 5 adults and 5 kids, not sure how everything will play out though. One family is an old friend and is driving in from Kansas. We'll be cooking Carolina style BBQ and he is going to bring a Kansas flavor to the cookout, not sure what it will be though.
Good morning North Carolina
If I actually get off of my butt shortly, I'm hoping to get the yard mowed and trimmed, 2 packs of Country Style pork ribs seasoned and in the smoker for dinner tonight. And even a craigslist run to Chapel Hill. I have a deal lined up for a pair of guitars. One just needs a good cleaning, and some new nylon strings, and the other has been robbed of parts, but if I can get it back together again, it could make a nice guitar to take out of the house and not worry about getting a scratch on it.
