Yup, stock air with an SPX wheel those egts went down 150° towing on a 6% grade heres a pic of the mule towing iirc 10k maybe?
I was on my hot tune towing this and my egts were in the 1180° iirc.
Nice! I ordered the 66mm rebuild from Kevin at SP turbo. I made sure to get the early 99 setup and am getting a deleted pedestal for an early 99 from Clay. If I understood your turbo mods I am setup for an easy future servicing Looking forward to putting it back together!
Yup easy removal, ive removed that turbo a couple of times after the mod and couldnt be happier. Also to add if your using your "old up pipes make sure you get new donuts and have a muffler shotp expand the pipes so the donuts fit nice and snug on the up pipes.

Adam, I'm thinking it may be a good thing that the engine builder is different than the guy who did the machine work. He might have more of a critical eye if a clearance or something else is borderline while the machinist who did the work might be inclined to let it go. Knock on wood everything is fine though.
Another somewhat of an update, I had the "need for speed" with one of the 2016 chevy camaro on I-10 I kind of kept up, but also notice I was hitting the rev limiter, for I dont know how long, my coolant temp went 3/4 of the way on the idiot light, no vissible smoke, then I heard a knocking noise and backed out, I think I have piston slap or something, not very loud but noticible while decelerating.
Anybody know what speed I might of hit? I have 3.55 and the e4od, and dont worry the highway there wasnt traffic and most trucks and cars stayed on the right lane on a 3 lane freeway, I know but I got tempted.

You remember that piston picture....a ways back.....thats probably what they look like now after valve float.
Yeah with 800k I'd not want to get near redline ever lol.... comp 910 or beehives, Swamps carries both, I'm pretty sure clay carries the 910s... do your push rods at the same time. Beehives are probably overkill for your current mods, 910s will do.
Great news on getting the engine back from the machine shop Adam! I still think you should run the engine in your truck now until it just gives out! LOL! Just to see how long it will go!
