The "Mule" Build
The kit comes with the low oil pressure pump, and everything to rebuild the engine including oil cooler and all seals. I never did have a problem with the oil dipstick leaking, luck maybe? I only changed it once when the engine was out for a complete re-seal. No balance, im not sure he has the equipment to do that? Ill ask him thou.
Good luck with the engine build. I've rarely been able to pay anyone to do any work for me without them screwing something up. Hope you have better luck!
That probably what happened, after many miles I think the piston rings gave out, theres a chunk of piston missing, look at the previous page. He told me that the valve seats are expensive to, he said it was $35 for each seat plus $30 to install 65x16
$1040 hell no, hopefully if needed its only one or two

Well look what the mail man drop of
Hell yeah the pistons look big, everything in the kit is included minus the rod bushings, but I did tell Clay if they were included to reimburse me. Im heading to the machine shop
The rod bearings are there the bushing I had to order, seems weird that they dont come included in a rebuild kit.
Just bought new lifters too @ an outstanding proce of $7.30 each, thank you commercial account, I get some good discounts. Ive used this lifters before on the Chettys at work and they last so ill be using them.
It all looks good! Fun to be following along, almost wish I was rebuilding my engine but so far it seems to be OK.
Still can't believe you are going to pay that guy to put it together instead of doing it yourself. I think you have kids? Would make a great father and son project.
What did your assembler say about balancing? If he says it not needed that might be your first clue that he's not up to speed. My limited experience with engine builders is that unless he makes his living building race engines he won't be very good with attention to detail and that's what it's all about. I know you said he's built two hundred PSD's but it's possible to do something 200 times and still not be very good at it.
Sorry for the unsolicited advice and comments. I guess that's what internet forums are all about.
