So I did an oil change and the knock is not present? The oil smelled like propane gas WTF? Thought it was weird, the oil didnt look bad at all nice and dark honey, same ol Rotella 15w-40 dino oil, just found it odd for it to smell like propane, makes me think compression is getting past the rings and or broken piston, but truck still has lots of power, but its starting to smoke more black smoke than ever, its embarrasing trying to take off on stop lights when theres a car with his window rolled down, he/she gets a plum of thick black smoke inside their vehicle and them doing their repugnant look, shame on me the smoke smells like raw diesel with oil in the mix.
Hopefully I dont do any damage to the injectors, as they are going to be reused.
Never had oil smell like propane. That's weird! LOL!
As some of you know im going on a 200mile round trip to Elephant Butte in Tor C NM I connected the Terry to the Mule and holy cow the thing still has a ton of power, thou smokey but power hasn't been affected one bit. Im a happy camper, hopefully with Gods blessing it makes it back with no problem.
Hopefully in a month or so the rebuild process will continue.
It is, but the lake getts packed, this year they threw thousands of black bass into the lake to bring in more tourists, it always gets packed on 4 of July, memorial, and labor day weekend.
As a leap of faith came back from my trip and all went great, truck still amazes me. Power for some reason or another hasn't diminished one bit, egt were higher though. Feel like the Mule dont want to give her heart yet, she loves the punishment, I even went to the extent of towing my Terry on my hot tune reaching critical boost levels (37psi) and went up some hills doing 85mph (shame on me) but its just to much fun passing other trucks towing their TT or Fifth wheels.
Also on a side note I changed the cold side IC pipe towards the turbo, and no more leaking oil and pegged 37psi after removing the inline fuel filter I had going towards the gauge due to a fluctuating gauge which later found out it was the gauge itself. The saga continues till the destruction of the Mules heart wich I think it aint happening for a looooong, loooong, loooopng time.

Posted a video on You Tube "The Mule boost level" just don't know how to post a link thru the phone as mine broke. On the video I was able to hit 31 psi but had to let go do to traffic.
On the other video I was went to the mountain to see if I could peg the boost to at leas 33-35
Psi but due to weather it was nearly impossible to get traction it sprinkled and was enough to make the truck loose control hard to drive with one hand holding the phone and the other trying to keep control of the truck. I'll try to post that video asap.
