Have you tested that dipstick adapter? In your picture it looks like the backing plate will not allow the dipstick to enter the pan. You can see how I cut a slot in the one I made here... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post17022037

You work too slow, this should already be installed.

Z, a while back you said you got a eBay front bumper. I'm getting around to buying one now. How has yours held up?

Has held up good, bent the brackets holding the bumper when I had to push a broken down car out of a major highway, but overall still looks good.

No good deed goes unpunished! I was afraid it would rust as soon as it was installed. I'll go ahead and get it.

Keep up the work on getting your truck back together. I'm doing a whole home remodel job and know it's sometimes hard to stay motivated.

Easy there, I live in a very dry climate, not sure it will pan out in wet/snowy areas or with salt

Engine is in, primed the oil pump, filled oil gallery's and hpop reservoir, 3-4 seconds of cranking and started right up, stopped it immediately as I have no radiator on it yet, but for the few seconds it ran it sounded really good.

Tomorrow I'll install the radiator, fan clutch, add coolant and start the break in.
