Okay well I got my SVCI diagnostic tool in today. I'm still trying to figure out how to get it going. It seems to read the modules in the truck via ForScan, installing IDS and the SVCI loader I see the IDS splash screen come up and I keep getting "IDSLOADER Load IDS software failed. Maybe IDS has not been installed. Please install IDS at first." This is on versions 115 and 116. I will keep you posted as I've contacted the seller for support.
so it was with me too, I had never managed to get it to run

Okay Hartwig, I've got good news. I was able to get version 116 to run properly and communicate with the truck. I can help you get it going.
The biggest thing is the install videos and instructions don't show/tell the entire process. You have to install IDS, SVCI for Ford and the most important VCI. Without VCI it will not talk, VCI if opened says no VCM found, but this was the key factor to make it run.
Let me know if you still need help and I'll be more then willing to help out.
Shame on all of you for using pirated, illegal software and hardware from China. China is FILTHY DIRTY and steals from everyone else.
Don't you folks realize all you're doing is continuing to sponsor, pay for China's continued theft of intellectual property?

We're trapped. The keyboard we use, the mouse we use, the monitor we used all are made over sea by someone you don't like or not agree with their way of doing things. They violate human rights, they don't have good law protecting workers, they use child labor (which is very important for poor country and important for the kids' families). But we still have to use them. Do you honestly answer me that you don't use a part made from them?
When we're trapped, we have very little choice. You have very little choice yourself! Be honest with yourself.
When people pirated musics, they were blamed as bad, until Steve Jobs told the musics industry that they gave users not much choice in the digital age, and hence the Apple music store was born and pirate musics reduced dramatically.
We need a way out, not shamed out. Almost all of us, include you/yourself use stuff oversea. Then why preaching things that you do yourself?
Accept the truth. I don't know what the solution is, but the problem is not us users.
We promote freedom and democracy, open and free and FAIR competitions. Maybe that's a start that can shed light on how to go forward.
In the industrial revolution period, people smashed machines, blamed them for their misery. Little did they know it was their boss, their government that caused it.

It's an unfortunate situation, but it evolves around Ford's decision.
For context, if you guys realized Ford's markup on its parts you would be surprised. With the diagnostic software, their intent has always been a captured dealer and service industry market, and if you wanted the full capability of the tool the consumer would have to go to these sources. It's no different in intent then what is happening with agricultural equipment, the farmer is not to work on their own equipment.
The software cost, in reality, should not be that different then what AutoEnginuity sells their product for. Or what GM does. IDS is nice, but most of what you need to be done can be done with AE if you have a belief that purchasing from China should be done on a restricted basis. Or the Russians are spying on you through Forscan.
BTW, if you are not buying from China you're buying is going to be very, very limited. Take a stroll through HD, Lowes, Ace or any major retailer. It will take a major restructure to change that source.
It’s pretty ridiculous how many hoops have to be jumped through to get this to work but I guess it’s the price to pay for a cheaper option. I wanted to support an FTE member by buying diagnostic software and a dedicated laptop for my truck and it’s just one thing after another trying to get it to operate. I am about to get back to work on it once I get my engine back in and will be coming to this thread for reference.

Can you post the equipment you are using, and perhaps links to purchase? I think it would be useful to other members if this information was available in a single post.

Yes please, I’m sure many of us would appreciate it!

UPDATE: At the current time it appears version 113 is the newest working version of IDS. I am currently communicating with FLYOBD about trying to understand what is happening with the newest versions of IDS. Okay, here is everything summed up. I purchased my diagnostic tool from https://www.ebay.com/itm/254442802214 images included of item, it shipped out of New Jersey, I ordered it on the 10th of December and had it at my house on the 14th of December. Once you receive your diagnostic tool it comes with 2 disc one has SDD (I believe this is for Land Rover and Jaguar diagnostic) and the other has the Ford/Mazda software and drivers for the FVDI diagnostic adapter. My disc had IDS 115 on it but the newest software can be found here.
To get everything setup on Windows 10 Pro 64bit I did the following:
1. Go to My account ? flyobd shop and make an account if you don't have one.
2. Login to your account and go to Download or Download Center ? flyobd shop
3. For Ford IDS download the following 3 packages : IDSFord, SVCI-J2534-Ford-Quickloader, and most importantly IDS_VCI. (Files appear to all be hosted on Mega)
4. Right click on each install file and Install everything "As Administrator" IDSFord (it will have you reboot after this installs), SVCI-J2534-Ford-Quickloader, and most importantly IDS_VCI (The install vidoes I watched failed to list this, without this when IDS try's to load it will fail.) I used the default option on all installs and ran everything as Administrator just in case.
5. On your Desktop there will be IDS shortcut, delete it as you will NOT use it to load IDS as it will fail due to no license.
6. Plug in your USB cable to your computer, plug your diagnostic tool into your USB cable and plug it in to your OBD 2 port on your vehicle. (Ensure the push button on the tool is in the pressed position to enable J2534, mine came in this position plus the button is recessed so you have to use something to press it. Otherwise it is a ELM327 if the switch is in the depressed position.)
7. Turn your key to the run position and open the shortcut on your Desktop named "SVCI J2534"(again I ran as Administrator).
8. You should see the IDS splash screen load up, upon first start it'll ask about "Dealer Type". Choose "Non-dealer" and select your country. IDS will load and you now have IDS!
9. You can go here to see what updates are available afterwards. Step 3 on this page will link the update package, simply download the package and run as Administrator. Now you have the updated package and just like before open with "SVCI J2534".
A couple of notes:
1. VCI program looks like it does nothing when opened because it shows VCM not connected. Leave it installed or IDS will not work!
2. Without the tool plugged in and the key in the run position if you try to run SVCI J2534 you will get error saying "VCI not plugged into car, or car battery under 8Volt."
3. If you don't install IDS_VCI you will encounter error "Load IDS software failed. TDSNetsetup error. Please reinstall IDS software."
4. I had also encountered a similar message reading "IDSLOADER Load IDS software failed. Maybe IDS has not been installed. Please install IDS at first. (I'm not sure what caused this error on the first install, perhaps I didn't run something as Administrator) But after running everything as Administrator I no longer have this issue.
5. Ford and Mazda IDS cannot be installed on same computer, if you need Mazda IDS you must uninstall Ford IDS.
6. Compatibility mode is not needed on Windows 10.
7. Updating once the main version number changes ex. 116 to 117 you will have to wait on a new crack to be posted here as the SVCI loader will realize the version does not match.
If anyone has any questions or needs any help I will do my best to help them out or need me to test a function of IDS for this tool just let me know. I can't do any "running test" on the truck since my HPOP is out but I ran diagnostics on it and it pulled all the data off the modules in the truck. So from what I can gather this is a working diagnostics tool. If this helps you out send me a little reputation! Hope this helps everyone out since I struggled to get it setup correctly.

Reason: Showing images of diagnostic tool and adding update information
The reasson I went with the seller I was using is I had tried the ones they
have and found then to be good and not the really cheep ones.
My biggest issue has been the 25% import feee that I was unable to find out
if the seller was taking care or it or I was on this end of the deal. Noting like
a 25% add on once I get the item.

Thank You so much for the excellent instructions!!!
I bought one of these several weeks ago for the sole purpose of doing a Power balance test on my 2005 Ford F250 6.0L. They claim this is a supported test. I have wasted 20+ hours loading and unloading V114 from the enclosed CD, V115 from the FLYOBD website, V116 from the FLYOBD website. trying everything I could think of. I did find that AVAST, Advanced SystemCare and Windows defender interfered with programs loading and finally unloaded all virus software (and personal info from the computer). V114 loaded Ok and IDS loaded, but no RPM's on screen, with no injector balance info, and no control icons on right side of screen. They told me to update to V115. I did that and had the problem you mentioned about VCI not be up top date. They had me load v116, same thing. I stumbled across the VCI software and now V116 loads, but same power balance issue I had with V114. Umpteen messages with the seller over 2 weeks who typically sends poor english cryptic messages with links to files already on FLYOBD, requests to use teamviewer or skype etc. No directions or useful guidance. Tried teamviewer but don't know how to use it and they say factory could not get access. gave them my phone number and no calls. They only respond in middle of night. So far FLYOBD main site has not responded to any emails at all for assistance.
Based on your excellent instructions. will uninstall all software again and reload again using "run as administrator".. I am still unclear how much of an uninstall has to be done each time, but I have been using iobit full uninstall of everything it loads each time. I also have not tried to load the update from the Ford website you mention, but seller told me not to load anything from that site. Of course could be bad info. Also after asking for 2 weeks if win10 is really OK and seller saying yes, they just sent me message that you need WIN 7 of have problems.
Seller is saying nobody has had any problems but that if V116 does not work, that the power balance they claim works, may not actually be a supported test. So mine may have to go back if it does not do this test.
I would love to know if anyone has gotten power balance to work as I think my device may be bad or it simply will not work for this test which I bought it for explicitly.
