WARNING. I used the SVCI from flyobd the perform this operation.
It was nothing very hard. When hooked up to the truck, go into module programming and pick pcm. Then just follow the commands. When you do the pcm it starts with telling you to remove the ficm relay, then ids will flash the pcm, ficm and tcm.
That is how I remember it. It was about 2 years and v113 of ids.
I have the same clone purchased from flyobd everything works if you follow the install instructions on this thread. I was just nervous about the module programing cause its a clone, all the other features I've tried work good. But what I don't get is all the videos I've watched said u need to be connected to the internet to do module programing cause it gets the calibrations for the programing off of the ford servers. With this being a cline how does it work? Did u have to connect to the internet?
so on step 7 do I skip that cause its crossed out?
Yes, the strike-through on step 7 was a temporary to get it to work for the other forum members at the time. At the time I had posted this I was working with the guys at FlyOBD and I was the only one that had the correct files for making the app work until they pushed the new files out on the website, so I was just sharing them, once they pushed the updates I did the strike-through.

oh I did what was in step 7 i wonder if I should Uninstall everything and do it again and skip step 7. Software does work with the way I installed it just didn't know I was supposed to skip step 7 lol
Wow, reading this thread reminds me of how paying too little for a thing can result in the thing not doing what you had intended and/or it costing you more in the long run anyway. The number of hours some folks spent fussing/tinkering/troubleshooting was significant. Sharing that info here is priceless and cannot be overstated. That said, perhaps the operability work is now done and it's safe to purchase the FlyOBD unit. Is their SVCI J2534 ready? Does it perform the tasks that it advertises? Can it obtain Ford module updates and re-program them?
All the money in the world won't buy me another moment of time and every day I have less of it left to spend so I must balance both time and money resources.
The real acid-test question: Looking back with 20/20 hindsight; would you have given greater consideration to the Ford VCM/IDS product? I ask because I'm making that decision now.

Noob question as I learn the lingo: Are these calibration files the ones from the Motorcraft Service - Module Build Data (As-Built) site? Enter a VIN and it pumps out a lengthy table of stuff that you need a secret decoder ring to understand. It also provides a link to download the file.
Site navigation: MotorcraftService.com -> Free Resources -> Quick Guides -> Module Build Data (As-Built)
The dump contains a top Note stating "When prompted, be sure to save or copy the file to the following IDS directory: c:\Program Files\Ford Motor Company\Calibration Files"
