I'd have to look at my build sheet but I think I tried to get as close to the same on all the cylinders and I think that came out to be .007".
Depending on your machinist they get pretty close to the same bore size on them all. Where I ran into mixing and matching were the pistons. They were all different. Not a lot but enough to make a difference.
I'll have to look at my build sheet to find out where exactly I came out.
Next step is to get the block on the engine stand and run a tap through every hole. Then I'm going to make the Tim Meyer mods on the oiling system as well as some Gary Lewis mods to smooth some corners.
It's looking good, Gary. The good part is when you start working on it and it all comes together. Even better is when you get to hear it fired for the first time.
Dad melted down two of those in a mini-motorhome. And I know it was working the engine 'cause he and I took it out one night to tune the carb - with the doghouse off. And the exhausts glowed RED all the time. Man, were those things hot!
