If all these parts from soggy bottom Louisiana and Florida keep finding their way up to podunk, I may have to send you the cajun special emblems from my 83 f150.
Better yet, maybe you can make some podunk special emblems.
Cajun special, does that mean it runs on Tabasco Sauce?
I have seen a few trucks in the JY and around the area that have the cajun special emblems above the f150 emblems on the fender. Noticed no other differences in the trucks. It has pretty much been determined that they are regional dealer promotions.

There was a Virginia special edition at one time, but then we built them in Norfolk at that time (best damn quality worldwide for Ford).
Talk to Reamer.
He's posted that he used to make badges.
I think he posted pictures of some Texas Special badges he had silkscreened where he used to work.
I think Kyle is just giving me a hard time about how many parts he and Shaun have found for Dad's truck. Seat base, Saginaw pump, crank pulley and transmission cover come quickly to mind, but there are other things in the past and some things in the works. THANKS, guys!

I spent 11 years in Baton Rouge...
There was a story of a local trade crew, known to be the best in heavy construction, that was hired to work at Cape Canaveral. After a very short time on the job, the local Union Hall was notified that the whole crew had been fired and would soon be returning. A phone call was quickly made to Cape Canaveral to find out why? The voice at the other end of the phone said that it was true that these men were highly skilled and worked hard, BUT every time a rocket was readied and the command "LAUNCH" was made, the entire crew would take their lunch boxes and sit under a shade tree to eat!
I hope this goes through as I just typed a post on my computer and got a Bad Request error and I can do nothing on FTE from that MacBook. However, this iPad seems to work with FTE so here goes.
I'm going to stop in at the machine shop tomorrow to see if they've made any progress. I'm finding out that you have to keep checking in or nothing gets done. (See the upcoming post in Dad's Truck Build for more on that.) and one of the things I want to talk to them about is clearances. I've been planning to go with stock clearances as I want this engine to last. Any thoughts on that?

IMO stock clearances would be perfect. I'm not overly familiar with the 335 Series engines, but from what I've learned from my two little Windsors the stock clearances are great for a performance application
I'm not sure what the stock clearances are number-wise, but what I did was take a bore gauge and a caliper and matched up the piston to the bore with the same clearances all around. I'm assuming all this is old hat to you but it's hard to tell what you're going to get back from the machinist until you put a bore gauge in there.
Jeremy - Welcome back! Where ya been? I don't have a bore gauge, although I do have inside mikes. And you can bet I'll put mikes on the pistons and the bores when it comes back from the machinist. I've taken one block back to the machine shop because he set it up for racing and had huge clearances and wont assume they did what I asked. I do want all the clearances the same as the intent is for this engine to be as "right" as it can be.
