Yellow tape came today! I tore down and reO-ringed the drivers side head today. I didn't have brake cleaner and some other things so I didn't bolt down the head yet. I also had to look up injector clamp torque and oil rail torque. The drivers side nipples on the oil rail are quite snug, I am gonna leave them alone. What is the orange o-ring for in the injector kit? No pics today, I was to excited when I saw the box here this morning. lol
the electrical oring should blue??? Are these oem inj kits??
Hey snowseeker,, you could hold the hpo cover upside down,, then put the branch tube in its spot in the cover,, and you will see how close it gets to the cover. I'm sure you could handle cutting a lil groove in the cover,,, thus giving you the updated cover,,, I've done it before. Just a thought.

Like rob40cal said the inside of the connectors is orange but I wasn't sure if that is where the orange oring in the kit went. For some reason I was thinking the orange oring was for the injector tip/nozzle. I got the Alliant injector kits from Clay. On that note I thought the oil cooler kits Clay sold were OEM. I was surprised when I saw it was a maxforce (or something like that) kit. It does seem like a nice kit though and very much like oem. It had a blue cover seal not the dorman green.

Cut groove in the cover? Where, what?
That is probably because it was OEM We get them direct from Ford...
Thanks! Maxxforce just doesn't sound like an oem name lol. Good to know and thanks much Clay! Put the orange orings in the receptical side of the connector and all is good!
Got the drives head all on today. I will take pics along the way with the passenger side head. I had a very busy day and never grabbed the camera again. I grabbed it when I took a break before starting the passenger side.
More head fun today. I hope I don't get banned because I am doing something to a truck and posting about it...
