My dad once had a client send a package from Puyallup,Wa to Spanaway,WA.
It should of taken only 2~3 days at the most. The two are less than a mile apart.
it took 2 weeks and went by way of New York.
So your package must be taking the scenic route. With long layovers.
Could weather still be holding things up? I got a few warnings from UPS
about delays that they were having out east.

Didn't expect the flex section today since it was in MN. So I went and ordered a new power steering line that should be here in the morning. Got 3 gallons of ford gold (in stock at my local bumper to bumper) and 3 quarts of merc 5 for the power steering/hydraboost. Since I am waiting for the flex section and power steering line I had them also order a ford oem oil filter which would be there tomorrow as well.
I come home and what is that box by the door? Why that there is a flex section! So I threw that in today!
Drill out rivets and take of nut.
Stock flex sections have a solid pipe inner liner then the outer bellows.
Mocked up and tack welded.
All welded up and shield installed. Could only use the one pop rivet location because the new flex section is a bit longer and the bottom rivet mount had to be cut off. I could have welded it back on and put the rivet in but I didn't feel the need.
Everything bolted up tight.
I'll check on the power steering hose in the morning. Hope they get it fairly early and I can get at dropping the cab!

Sean
2-3 days? If I ship something across town via UPS it is delivered next day.
All back together again! I cranked it over only a few seconds before oil came gushing up into the filter housing. I was pretty happy about that. So I threw the new oem oil filter in with new cap oring. I filled it up with ford gold coolant and distilled water. Which by the way someone bought all the distilled water out besides one gallon at Kmart, must be a few 6.0 owners around here! I was able to dump in 1.5 quarts of power steering fluid so far. I picked up a couple quarts of SL trans fluid to replace what was lost with the coolers.
Nothing leaking out yet!
So then I crank... Using just the starter relay wire and key off I turned the motor over 5 times now for a period of around 20-25 seconds. How many times do you guys figure I should do that before attempting an actual start? I never drained the HPOP just the branch tube and both rails need to be filled.
Came in to post, eat, let the starter cool, and the batteries charge. Will go out for more cranking in a bit here.
