Sean, I don't know about converting, I'll have to make a better assessment when the X comes out.

Chris, thanks, I checked already for topping off fluid after doing all the work and loosing some out of the coolers and lines. I still have one quart left over from the work so I should only have to buy 6ish to change the sensor. It is like $6.50 a quart at my local bumper to bumper
Captfatboy, I filled up the tank yesterday with government fuel, hopefully the first of many fill ups to get rid of the red stuff.

Honestly I don't know much about the HPOP other than they normally work or they don't. Mine seemed to work before I tore down the engine so I left it alone and seem to got lucky. I also have read that the earlier HPOP's were better than the later ones.
I have 100 miles on the truck now so far and all is going good! The only issue I have ran into twice now is a frozen starter. Once the other morning after a -17 degree night the starter just clicked. Tapped on it with a hammer and she worked good. Last night after sitting around 6 hours and the temps were starting to dip to around -10 it did the same thing again. It NEVER does it when warm, even when I just had the truck plugged in it worked fine. I am thinking when it was sitting in the box and got covered in snow some water or something got into the solenoid and is causing havoc. I figured it would have dried out by now after more than a few heat cycles and whatnot but last night said no. It would have been nice if the starter would have done that at least once before I did all the work so I could have tore it down while it was out and checked it over.
Even still everything seems to be working like it should! When the starter cooperates the truck pops right off every time. Drives nice even on flat bald tires. After the new trans temp sensor goes in hopefully I will be able to just drive it and not have to work on it for a good long time.
