not sure what you mean joe , maybe the 2 speed axle lever. its on the driver side. theres a bunch of parts on the floor .
I think that he is referring to the breather/dipstick looking thing with the cap on it (inside-right hand side of the engine compartment just past the back of the passengers side head). I am curious also.
hi mark ! its the exhaust for my power brake. some trucks had it Inside cab ,behind seat. it makes a whosh sound when you brake. i wanted to install it Inside the cab, but it was to complicated with gas tank there.
Hey Brian I got a few questions for you. First, where did you get that alternator and bracket for your truck? I'm thinking its time for me to upgrade the electrics on my truck and I think an alternator is the way to go. I assume you went to neg ground 12v and had to put resistors on the gauges to keep them 6v (fuel, temp, and oil psi gauges). Now that my bed is on I want to install marker lights (I like lights)and I think it will be too much for my 6v genny.
Second, what amount of oil psi are you seeing. My psi is pegging out at 80 and never goes much below 65 even when hot. I initially thought this was a good thing, but after some research, found this might be too high for a flathead. I'm trying to install a mechanical oil psi gauge to verify that reading but that 2nd oil plug in the block is refusing to come out. I'm also running 15w40 diesel oil and think that might be too heavy and might go to 30w oil.
hi joe ! i got my alternator and bracket from joe,s antique. he also sold me the runtz resisters for the gauge. i,m not quit sure exactly what oïl pressure i got., cold its somewhere around 50lbs idle and warm i think its 25 lbs. now i will recheck it ,i,m not 100 % sure . i got 10 w 30 oïl . i found out this weekend that the guy who built my engine is dead ,he was in his 50ies, not sure what happen.

Well that is terrible news. Unfortunately we never know how long we have here on earth so make each day count. Thanks for the info on your truck.
got the cab painted! still need to rebuilt steering box,got the right bushing second time.then install axle backing plate, pack bearings with grease and bring it home. i thought i would have time for windows ,maybe this summer maybe!!! or next winter in worse case. since i got no windows i will store truck in my home garage,my doors only 7 feet probably will have to park it with no front wheels.
sorry Brian, i broke inn here........looking at your pics....
just Wonder ...the seam between the roof and the backwall......over the rear window ......did you seal it with anything?
im soon ready for filler and epoxy primer on the cab...but little worried about this seam...what if it would start leaking water inside if the paint cracks up after some years..... i will seal it from inside....but....i dont know...
