slowly but surely ! next weekend i can,t work on truck, then its easter. so progress will be slow. got my radiator and a Buddy bent me some radiator pipes mine were rusted. i think burnett never used antifreeze.
(pipes) I need to have a set of those pipes made up also, When I put mine together I was not too worried about the looks at the time, just wanted to get it back together.
mark they were the least of my worries . last summer coolant was leaking , and after a little inspection i noticed it came from the left side one. went back to the shop this afternoon, heated and bent my 2 speed lever so it wouldn,t touch the cab . welded and sorted out the underdash wiring. and then gave my light switch another fight ! crazy how something so simple can be time consuming. theres a brace in the middle of dash board and it would pry my new switch. and that caused the light button to not hook up. if i would of fitted the switch before painting ,you can be sure that brace would of been modified !!! its the four time fiddling with that light switch, i think its ok now! you would think its a 20 minute job , and i played with that switch over an hour.
a month went by , i,ve done alot of small stuff . stuff you think is less important. my wiring is all welded and shrink all the butt connectors. warm it up runs pretty good . it seems to have a slight miss, my gas is old. wired the gas gauge it reads empty, i will add a few dollars to see what the gauge does. hooked up the vacumm lines on hydro vac. next weekend i will bring it home. my times up for this year,i think ! i was sure i would be ready .but to much to do yet. and i still have not found wheels.
Yep, looks real good Brian. Its amazing how much work you think you'll get done compared to how much actually gets done. Keep plugging away at it. My bed is finally done and hope to install it tomorrow. Pics to follow if I get it done.
hi joe ! can,t wait to see them pictures. i went looking for parts for my dump bed last weekend . i found a rebuiltable cylinder , mind was empty and rusted Inside.
not sure what you mean joe , maybe the 2 speed axle lever. its on the driver side. theres a bunch of parts on the floor .
Out on the firewall in the engine compartment there is a black hose with something round on top. Just curious what it is. Some sort of breather maybe???
oh ! though you meant Inside the cab . thats my exhaust for the power brake booster. it was on the driver side , but i found it was to busy on that side.

Gotcha, forgot you had a booster. Did you get that from O'Rielys?
