Cheezit,
I have done a Ranger master and slave cylinder more than
once or twice and found them very easy to bleed. In fact I
think it was 4 times. When you blow the seal on the slave
you are going to have a system full of air.Been There Done That.

No guys,,,, I'm definitely doin the whole kit. No bleeding for me. I'm just using the rest of my kitty for fuel on this last weeks worth of running. I get settled up with on Thursday. So the kit will have to wait,,,, hell, I'm actually puttin off the bills til then too,,,, Haven't been this broke n a long while. Oh well,,,,,

My phone sig is iffy out here,,, I haven't been on the boards n a bit,,, we need a thread to keep track of where we are all at. The wife loves to stop,,,, we don't stop too much. So she's all good to meet everyone too.

My interior scheme isn't anything crazy,,, besides the fact that there's no back seat,,, pass seat is an extra,, the back doors aren't the originals,,, the engine,,,, was just another project. I prob will have taken every nut n bolt outta this truck b4 it's all said n done.

I've got no desire to mess with the bleeding tho,,,, I'm sure it can be bled,,, but there's prob a good reason they sell the kit. I've replaced it once,,, very simple ordeal. But, there's no garantee the rest of the clutch is good. I just don't want to go to south bend without knowing everything else is good. Isn't the recommended way to drop the transfer case n trans as one assembly?? I might just pay them to drop it if need b. but that tranny jack I bought needs to pay for itself. Who knows,,, maybe when they see how clean it is,,,, maybe they will do it for nothing. It's all sparkling clean and freshly painted under there. Gonna have to make sure their gloves are clean if I let them do it. Lol

I still like my idea of an all white engine even the
exhaust manifolds could be done is that high temp
ceramics. Leaks would really show up then. The down
side being road grime after a trip down a wet road.

bleeding a master on a ranger if its 100% empty, its best done on a bench.

Yes just west of Country Club(Arizona Ave south of Baseline) on Warner Ave is Hoosiers Café. It is on the south side of Warner approx. 1/4 mile west of Arizona Ave. Next to the John Deer lot. Good food It is only 4 mi from Mesa RV. I think they open at 6 am also. There is room for a trailer there to. We go in there with our line trucks and trailers and do not have any problems.

I made my first meet up!! Nice meeting u Brian. Snorindad.

I ordered the slave cyl assembly. I should b at south bend on Friday. I'm tryin to work out a schedule,,, Prob gonna pay them to r&r the trans once I know the cyl isn't the issue. It is making a bit of racket while idling without the clutch pushed in. I can tell its the clutch because the noise goes away at shutdown with the clutch pressed in. If I shut it down without the clutch pressed in,,, it makes a lot of rolling noises until it stops. Any ideas????

I also have 10k mi on her now. I ran 600 miles on the first oil change. Level was ok. Then I ran 1600 miles on the second. Might've been a bit low,,, but didn't read any lower. Then I think I did about 2300 mi on the third change. I also was at about 26k lbs for most of the 2300 mi. She was workin. The oil level was halfway between the full n add lines. Was this just from the engine breaking in??? I have done about 3k mi on the 3rd, or 4th oil change (can't remember) and the oil level is still full,,, no loss or use of any oil. I'm gonna get some pics of the bottom side showing the bottom of the engine. It's so dry,,, I can touch it without getting dirty. I like it.

But my freakin turbo drain tube is leaking!!! I will get pics of it. It's wet,,, Had a couple drops on the pedestal too. That sux. I used new orings and grease on them. Does anyone have a powermax and can you post a pic of the drain area being dry???? Mine also leaked before the rebuild. I'll weld the freakin tube to the turbo if need b!! Lol. Maybe not?!?!?

It was good meeting you too Anthony. Maybe next time you are through here we can do dinner or something. Like I said it was nice putting a face to the name. Stay safe on the roads.

It will be interesting to see how well your truck behaves in different climates. Up here right it's getting very cold outside and we all know how diesels just love to start and run in the cold weather, don't we?

Here Anthony, ran out and shot these for you.

Yeppers, dry! Mine wasn't as clean in that area as yours. Most of what you are seeing was from the CAC boot. Look deeper below the tube and you can see it is dry.

Anthony, at the rate you rack up mileage, I am amazed that your truck even has the time to cool down fully at all.

As unbelievable as it sounds,,,, it hasn't had a cold soak since it was first fired up. It cooled to 60 once when it was 30 outside. About 10 hours off. She's a worker.
