i worked my butt off this weekend trying to make progress on a shower and deal with construction on my street, i'm pooped! and i didn't do myself any favors sunday lol, i dont even remember what i ate haha! its like a tornado at my house, i'm constantly confused about what to tackle next
man i really thought i'd have lost a couple pounds, but i'm standing solid at 175! Tell ya what, the battle's never over, but i'm still pumped to fight it again and again! Every day!
Hey guys!!! I met the kiddo that we're working on adopting!!! He's a great kid, the wife and I looking forward to seeing him again pretty soon at our house! We get to introduce him to our house and way of life! he's not gonna like all the veggies lol! Not too sure what his diet is right now, but you guys probably know better than me. and you probably know better than me The new food battles i'm going ot have with "kid' food around lol! I'm still pumped to fight the fight though!
Maybe ease him into the veggie lifestyle? I'm 44 and still am trying to ease myself into eating veggies. LOL!!
I'm getting up to an all time high again after a huge food weekend. This week is going to be focus on losing the extra weight that I have picked up, and take it back down to a weight I can be more proud of.
I'm really hoping that he will slowly move into the veggies! That's really all I could ask, right?
honestly, veggeis are still hard to eat some days for me. usually it comes on the Monday after eating desert on Sunday. and it doesn't matter if I just had a taste or the whole thing, the next day veggeis just don't look as good lol! then by Friday i"m all like "where's the cabbage, and while your at it lets steam some cauliflower" lol
same thin happened with some cheese one weekend, we had some leftover shredded cheese and I put it on my eggs the next morning, and the next morning lol, and then I was out of cheese and i just didn't want my eggwhites as bad without the cheese!
and just like that, poof, I'm down almost 4 pounds... i credit the extra dose of lentils and spinach in the mornings lol! that and I redirected focus on activity...and stress...lol
I had a large spinach salad yesterday for lunch, thinking I could maybe have a lettuce salad for lunch, but we were out of lettuce at home and dinner was a grab and dash, because we had to get to Isabelle's Orchestra.
This morning I decided I need to get on board with this weight loss thing, to get caught up from dismissing my own personal challenge.
Instead of my normal diet soda and protein shake, I had green tea an apple and a steak. This is a struggle for me, because old habits are hard for me to break.
The pop is pretty hard to completely quit, but I have weaned myself down to only having diet pop on the weekends as a "treat". You can do it man!
Wife and I went to Vegas last week for a work conference so I ended up being off my diet for 9 days straight, ended up gaining 11 lbs back. I don't complain though since I whole-heartedly expected to gain an easy 20 lbs with the junk we were taking in, lol.
To get back on track we won't do any cheats this weekend and I'm back to my 18 hour daily fasts. Time to shed some lbs!
well guys, i've had a rough spell, got sick and couldn't eat for a week, among a lot of other stressful stuff going on... i've pretty much gained back my strength, my weight is down a couple pounds lol, i'm a steady 172. And it's going to go down even further fast as soon as the rain lets up, because I've got 4 lawns to push mow haha!
My mid-morning breaffast today:
3 baked tilapia fillets, half an avacado, and a fistful of greens. delicioumous!
I am up in weight again, but I kid myself and tell people it must be muscle, because my pants are looser, and my belt is tighter.
I have seen some valleys that I was impressed with, but then I seem to be able to pack the peaks back on.
My wife signed the family up for a gym membership, but she hasn't told me where it is yet. Yesterday she went to it, but didn't invite me, so I stayed home and made beef jerky. Honestly for as fast as the weekend had gone up to that point, I probably would have turned her down, because I needed some chill time before going back to work. It had been such a long, long week at work, then Friday night and Saturday disappeared in seconds. Sunday up until about 3 went by in a flash, and I never had a chance to unwind. I got a few hours to myself to kick back and clear my head before the start of a new week and it was worth it.
170lbs and change this morning... man i gotta figure something out lol, remember when I was going on & on about taking life by the horns? i think I still got a grip but boy i'm getting tired! I've still got a plan though. I've got a few things i'm going to sell, like a motor out of a pickup, a couple dirtbikes, etc etc etc.... I'm still on track I think to pay my mortgage off in about 8 years (like 13 years early i'm pumped!), and the adoption is still going forward, i just have to remind myself every morning that I'm going to do! I'm going to get results one way or the other, and i'm not going to give up! God has pretty much got me fixed up with dieting, I'm totally leaning on him for that, and wow it works so well! I'm learning to lean on him with finances too, same with the adoption, and it's crazy cause i can't even fathom in my brain how much he cares for us! so, for the time being, i gotta figure out a process for getting un-tired lol
Remember that even God rested on the 7th day, add that in to your schedule.
I still creep up on weight, today I was at 216. I track my weight every day, and hope in some way that I remember it later in the day where I was, and were I want to be (eventually) but come meal time, my mind is on satisfaction rather than health.
