Weight loss challenge
she decided this last night while a gigantic bag of corn chips were on the coffee table... i had just fallen into a trance eating them with guacamole lol, she had to take the bag away
i hope she sticks to this and doesn't buy them anymore
I guess I should do what you are doing, 30 lbs would get me pretty close to my target weight.
What does your plan look like? What kinds of foods? and an example of your typical day?
Lunch I eat chips made out of oven-baked sliced cheese and dip it in the avocado, or pork rinds dipped in avocado if I'm short on time. We also do spinach salads with a ton of cheese, sliced lunch meat or chicken chunks from the store that are made for salads, real bacon crumbles, and some jalapeno cheesy ranch (amazing low on carbs)
For supper I love slapping a huge steak on the grill, or chicken\burgers\brats work too. No buns\ketchup on the burgers, just lots of melted cheese. I'll eat it with a fork and dip it in southwest mustard (also low-carb). We did try making buns out of cheese, but it was mediocre.
We have also made keto pizza out of almond flour crust and low-carb spaghetti sauce, it was great! There are tons of other recipes out there, so you shouldn't have a hard time finding something to eat for supper.
If we are in a hurry and need snacks then we pair turkey\beef sticks and stick cheese for a satisfying fill. Pickles are great too, I've wrapped pickle spears with a slice of bacon in a cheese\lunchmeat wrap. We've also made tacos out romaine lettuce and hamburger, cheese, bacon, etc.
For drinks we I do coffee with a splash of heavy whipping cream, diet\zero pop, and for sports drinks the only thing we have found that qualifies for keto is Powerade Zero.
It's hard initially, but once you figure out all the foods you're "allowed" and leave the breads\starches\sweets behind for good then it's easy as pie......but don't eat pie.............
