So i have had a major change this year, January 1st i began a very radical diet as i was 408 lbs, Wednesday i scaled in at 332 and ive gained 12 lbs of muscle all while doing so
Remember that even God rested on the 7th day, add that in to your schedule.
I still creep up on weight, today I was at 216. I track my weight every day, and hope in some way that I remember it later in the day where I was, and were I want to be (eventually) but come meal time, my mind is on satisfaction rather than health.
thanks man, this is why i love this place! you guys tend to give me what i'm needing to hear!

dude that's awesome! Please please tell me if you don't mind, what does your diet and exercise plan look like???
my brother did a similar thing a few years ago, went from around 400 to near 300, unfortunately he got a girlfriend & got married and got totally distracted... now he's back over 400. man he was feeling good and everything, then boom, back to 400 in just a couple months.
Well.. it was Fatter's day weekend for me. I went up another pound.. but before that, Sunday morning I was down 3 lbs.
It was the all you can eat shrimp from Red Lobster yesterday that may have been the +4 lbs I gained yesterday. I only ate one meal, but I ate until I was miserable.
Today for lunch is spinach salad. I will behave myself the rest of the week and bring my weight back down to a reasonable level. After that, our garden should be recovered from us disassembling it and cleaning it. The plants suffered some damage from the move, but are rebounding now. I suspect I can start eating salad off of it again soon.
Dropped off the diet completely when we left for vacation and stayed off for 12 days straight. Ended up gaining 9 lbs which I didn't think was too bad considering all the junk food we were eating 24/7.
Hopped back on right away yesterday at lunch and had a low-carb tuna wrap, pickles, and half a pack of bacon. Afternoon snack was sunflower seeds with some beef sticks. Supper was a couple cheeseburger patties, couple of beer brats, steamed broccoli w\butter, and a HUGE sirloin steak. Lost 4 lbs in 24 hours, I absolutely love my diet
We ended up splitting a butchered local cow with some friends so Sunday evening we packed our freezer full of some high-quality beef. Now we're completely set to jump back in and stay the course. My future plan is to get to 210, and then back off the keto and maintain around 210-220. My lowest ever is 216 so we'll see if I stall out again or finally break through.
I have been so busy with working on the truck that I haven't had much time for meals. Yesterday I forgot to eat dinner, but I got my truck back together, so it was worth it. Weird thing is I never felt hungry. My focus was elsewhere I guess. I am down 5 lbs from my high point last week, but I am guessing a lot of it is water weight, because I didn't only not eat, I also didn't drink anything and sweat a lot.
I'm sure that's what all my weight loss is too, water. Darn stuff comes on and off with minimal effort in either direction. At least you're building some muscle working on the truck though, I know I'm usually completely exhausted (no pun intended) when I work on our vehicles.

i love summer time because of that, getting busy and focused so intensely that food doesn't matter - i love it! i just wish that lasted on into the winter lol, i get so hungry at night!

i completely wore myself out trying to pull a tire off a rim this morning before work, & I'm totally exhausted! and I STILL didn't get it off hahaha!
I have found a new level of productivity!!! i'm 100% all the time now lol, I can barely eat enough so long as I'm eating the good stuff. I did a chest/tricep workout yesterday morning, then mowed 2 lawns after work, then spent an hour cleaning up a grout job I did on Sunday... got up this morning and doing it all over again! I couldn't do it unless i'm eating a LOT of greens lol
things are still full steam ahead with my adoption too! kiddo moves into our house in less than two weeks! life has just begun!
I got behind on the indoor garden and it got away from us. We have been gone quite a bit, and it overgrew which caused other issues. We spent the evening cleaning that up and replanting new plants in it. I got enough lettuce for about two more salads and then we wait. It should help, as I will be gone on vacation for a week, to allow it to start to recover.
Been stuck around 220-225 for months now. We've been slipping more than usual on the weekends and vacations so that is to be expected. I'd like to drop another 10-20 so we'll see if I can stick hard with the diet and exercise now that school has started and the temptations of summer are nearly over.
i made it through the whole summer at right about 170-175 lol, now i'm actually a solid 170! i've had the kiddo for almost 3 weeks now, the one we're adopting, he just started school Monday. We're stressed and busy but we're making it!
I'm having to kinda take charge of the family's nutrition, turns out you can't trust a 9 year old to pick good foods lol! he still gets his sugary snacks and mac n cheese, just not every meal. and I am just sucking it up and not partaking. quite an experiment with my self control lol

This is going to sound weird. But, if someone cuts calories too far, too much, the body goes into "starvation mode" and slows metabolism way down. Unless you're working out hard or exercising intensely, you'll have to find the sweet spot range in terms of daily calories, and may have to eat slightly more to lose the weight consistently.
It confused me for a few weeks, I need to lose a few pounds. Figured out roughly what my base metabolic calorie needs are, and then cut back to one meal a day. "Intermittent fasting". 1100 or 1300, maybe 1500 calories worked pretty well to lose weight steadily. If for example a body needs 1800 calories say, and cut it back to 1500, that's a 300 calorie deficit. 3000 calories or so in a pound of fat. So, lose 1 pound in 10 days, right?
Not as fast as I'd like. So I thought, hell let's cut this back to say 800 or 900 kcals and get this show on the road. Not only was I miserable, I wasn't losing any poundage hardly. Intermittent fasting will really help, because I'm not into this "Day 1: eat a piece of dry toast and a half cup of gluten free range no-conflict Vegan organic arugula-spirulina yogurt for breakfast" BS. I eat pretty much whatever I want, foods that I like, just not very often and not as much.
