I have been a bad boy, and packed on the lbs in the last year, some, or most of it has been depression, but much of it was just a not caring. I got up to 230 and held that weight for most of the year. I am just now starting to whittle a little off and have lost 5 lbs, and have been hanging around the 225 weight for a few weeks. Its not so much of a diet, or weight loss strategy, but more of a been busier, and my projects keep me moving. Its kind of got me in the mood to keep trying to whittle a little at a time, and stay comfortable, rather than go through the starvation and get frustrated with being hungry option.
Same here. I was up to 230 or a bit more the end of last summer. I worked on it and was down to 210 before the holidays. Made it back up to a little over 220. I am back down near 215 and working on it.
I was down to 179 this morning. I guess my attempt at healthy eating and three days a week hour and a half workout sessions are paying off. I was at 205+- after Thanksgiving.
Great work Del. You are at my current goal weight. I take my dog to the park and walk a mile and a half or so every day it is not wet. 214 this morning so I am headed there.
180 was my goal too Jack, but not that I'm there I think I will work on another 5 pounds. My eating and exercise habits are changing enough that it isn't out of reach.
180 is not my final goal but is where I am looking to get for now. At or under 200 is where I hope to be before Utah in July. As long as I don't get weak again and Bastian my dog keeps walking me at the park most days I think it is doable.
Easter was our last day of being off-diet. We were staying pretty well with dieting during the week and going with whatever on the weekends, but I really wanted to get serious and knock some pounds off before we leave for vacation this summer.
I'm doing it a little differently this go-around though and not weighing in until the last day of June 5th. I tend to obsess with the scale and get discouraged when I'm not losing, so I thought I would just hit it the best I can (without any cheats at all) and the chips will fall where they want after 60 days. I did take a before pic this morning, so hopefully I at least see some difference.
Good luck everyone, hope to see frequent check-in posts to keep everyone on the path.
I do it a little bit differently Justin and weigh myself every morning after I first get up before I start eating or drinking. I have found I can vary about 2-4 pounds depending on how much I eat or drink or activity and if I was especially dehydrated from activity during the previous day. I don't sweat that too much as long as it doesn't start creeping up over that for a few days. Then I know I need to change something. It could be level of activity, diet or how much I'm drinking (water or other stuff). I try to stay well hydrated as being dehydrated can raise blood pressure which is not good for a heart disease person.
