all of the hard work, special diet, exercise, and starving myself, and this morning (after the Ski Trip) I weighed in 4 lbs heavier.
I am thinking it is mostly water weight, because everything we ate was full of sodium, high fat content too. I tried to be a good boy, but there was a lot of delicious food available, and in my mind I thought that skiing for 8 hours would be plenty of exercise to burn the extra calories. Seems I misjudged.
i hear ya! i thought i did well this weekend, but I came in heavier lol, so i'm hitting it again. water weight methinks... come friday I will know!
funny thing, my sister in law asked my wife why I keep after it so hard. my wife told me about it & sais she replied "if he stops, then he'll have to do it all over again next year." oh how true!
I made a promise to myself that i'll never go through another severe weight loss again. rather, i don't ever want to find myself needing to lose more than 10 pounds. let alone 65 pounds.
i recovered from the weekend lol, i weighted in just under what i weighed last week. i was 187.6 iirc, so just a couple more pounds to 185. i want to do it right though! i want to try to eat consistently for the next 3 1/2 weeks so that i juuuust reach 185 by then. that way i'll know for sure that i can keep eating that way and sustain it. that's my thought process here anyways!
Yeah.. yesterday was my Bday, so work bought lunch, which was a calzone from Old Chicago. Then my wife took me out to Texas roadhouse, and baked a cake. I am way up there on the scale. In the old days before I started dieting, I wouldn't have seen a huge increase in weight, but now, anything I eat outside of the diet food packs on the lbs quickly.
and i wish you a quick recovery from the birthday celebration lol!
some motivation for you if you want it (lol), i've eaten nothing but plant matter all day and i feel great! i want a greasy burger like nothing else, but i feel exceptional lol
question! what's everybody's "go-to" for when you overeat? like so you do anything specific immediately after, or the next day? or the day before if you are planning it? lol
I typically like to load up on vegetables the day before if i know i'm having a big meal the next day. and the day of immediately after, i like to rest... lol gorge and rest! teh day after, oh man, its a good workout on empty stomach and then small small meals afterwards until i feel back to normal. but i'm always looking for more things to try!
I don't have any tricks, I just over-eat, then feel kind of bad about it the day after. I don't do much about it though.
Today I weighed in at 207 again, so I am down 3 lbs again.
Today looks to be a pretty big food day, so I don't expect much loss today.
Ate at an all you can eat bbq place in Wichita today--- really yummy-- had allot of letuce and 1 of each kind of meat- 1 plate only - Kinda proud of that :-)
I weighed in again at 204.8 this morning, it took me 4 days to take off what I put on in 4 days. I guess I shouldn't have any major holidays, celebrations, or travel plans for a while so I should be able to start my progression back in the right direction.
Usually I run for 2.9 miles (preprogrammed fat burn option) then walk 2.72 miles with video on the screen walking through some other country once or twice.
Last night I did all of the miles with two 5 lb weights in my hands, exercising my arms along with my legs. I could really tell a lot of difference in the exercise, the extra sweat if nothing else.
