This morning was higher, I weighed in at 211.2 again. I think mostly it was water, as I gave plasma yesterday and ran for 2 hours last night, then I was mega thirsty. I drank a huge amount of water. Also yesterday was a big food day which didn't help.
I have quit dieting since the 16th-- feeling really discouraged and just unhappy about my progress-- weighed in this morning at 242 after 2 weeks of eating normal. SO after 2 weeks I weigh the same--- I am just weird I guess
I have heard that sometimes you have to take a break from diets, because your body gets used to living off of less food, so it runs more efficiently, and holds on to fat because it is in self preservation mode.
Also, some diets like the one I am on, mixes up the times at which you eat to confuse the body. First week is small meals three times a day, with small snacks in between, second week is medium meals twice a day with snacks more often.
Third week, sucks but it is mostly snacks and liquids. Fourth week is 3 meals again, and a mix of low sodium soup, salads, and turkey, and chicken.
I came in again at 210.8 this morning, which would have been maybe even more weight loss, but we went out to eat as a family and I ordered a taco salad with sour cream and other things that I should maybe have not eaten.
I reached the "Great White Buffalo" I hit 209.7 today, I've been just above that weight, bouncing around for several days, but couldn't reach it, but Today I finally did. I have two more days of this round, then I start over from the beginning. That one should be easier, as we don't have Thanksgiving and Christmas to work around.
Conditions must have been just right yesterday morning when I weighed in, because I picked up about a pound this morning, but I cannot figure out where from, because I was hungry all day.
I went back up one more lb, but I suspicion I will see some of that, as was kind of the track record of the previous weeks. I am guessing I was quite dehydrated a few days ago?
Still stuck at around 207. Funeral buffet on Friday, and Hu Hot Buffet last night probably were not in my best interest, but sure tasted good, plus made me feel human again.
My weight loss plan for January had a rocky start. First I started at 285 (10 lbs over my regular weight) thanks to the holiday season. I had a great idea to limit my calorie intake to 1500 daily M-F, but then being a little more free on the weekends to bring my metabolism up. Was also going to get on the exercise bike for 30 minutes M-F.
I managed to get a couple days in on the bike and then got hit by the flu pretty hard. There were no more bike rides, but at least my calorie intake was really easy to keep down since I felt like garbage. Managed to get back to my "regular" starting weight so that's good.
Short version, on a new exercise\diet plan and lost 10 lbs the first week! lol
It's taken me a month and a week to lose 17 lbs, but I just keep after it. I figure I earned every one of those lbs, and I put them on over 42 years, so it will take a while to take them back off.
FOund out that the non- card diet is extremely BAD for diabetics-- it causes sugar spikes and your body goes into starvation mode- great 6 months down the tubes- I'm just going to eat a box of chocolate covered twinkies and die. :-(
I wonder if there is a good diet plan for diabetics? Lots and lots of Broccoli I guess.
Steamed Broccoli is pretty good, but I couldn't make a diet plan around it.
