I opened this thread not knowing exactly what the EZDown was, and now I want one! I'm heading to my local O'Reilly's at lunch, and now I know what to look for. 'Cept mine is an '06. If they have a bunch of the old models, think I may pick them up.... anyone interested?

I have to say it is so nice to use the tailgate handle and watch it slowly drop into place. Why this is not stock, I have no idea. A very nice cheap addition that only takes a few minutes to put on.

Wow! How did I miss this thread (JUST KIDDING!)?? On the "How do you clean your windshield?" thread some guy commented on how we could discuss something as simple as cleaning our windshield. You guys have proved that no matter small the subject matter, you'll beat that horse to death!

Nothing else to talk about with this new truck. All is quiet pretty much. Just the trans update and that don't take long to read up on.

I've been with this thread from the beginning, have bought and returned 2 and still dont have one that works..
I'm really hoping someone who has access to an O'reilly store can pick one up, pm me and I'll send them a check. Seems short of waiting 6 months, that might be the only way I'll get one.....someone........anyone........

I checked one store yesterday and didn't see any, but the line at the counter was too long for me wait and see if they had any behind the counter, or could help me locate one on the floor. I may give them a call today and see what they have to say.

I'm stopping at Oreilly's on my way home. If they have some extras, I don't mind buying them and mailing a few out. I'm assuming that if you can afford a $50K truck your check won't bounce.
Funny how big this thread is. Right up there with the TSB and CEL issue. Screw the transmission - I just want the tailgate to come down nice and slow without having to remove a rubber bumper.

No issues. It took about 15 minutes to install and does not hit the rubber bumper. From the time I pull the handle, it takes a little over 4 seconds for the tailgate to fully drop. I love it!
