THey were supposed to order the LPOP parts last tuesday, the 13th. Well their "computers were down" till the 15th and they ordered the parts then and said they would arrive Monday the 19th. Called Monday, no parts. They didn't call me yesterday, and havn't yet today. I will be calling them in a little while to find out what is going on.
They can't tell me whether or not the diesel mechanic checked the bypass yet (blamed on the computers being down again), and it seems like he is never there for them to ask...
I guess you can't order things over the phone anymore, or they just dont' have a phone, which would make since because they never call me anyways!
This seems to be getting rediculous to me. I know I'd be so frustrated with them I'd have my truck out of there by now. Best of luck brownie, sounds like you need some.
Another vote for Melling, but still wondering if it's really an LPOP issue.

Watch the people at the auto parts store, they know nothing but what the computer tells them.
So sad, but so true. I recently had to replace the slave cylinder on my truck.
For the clutch hydraulics.
For my manual transmission.
When I called on the phone and asked, they assured me they stocked them. I asked them to check anyway and they asked year, make, model, etc. to enter stuff in the computer. Then he asked, automatic transmission?
What's even worse is they had to order the part in. Came in after lunch so I show up after that and ask for the same I guy that ordered the part for me. Same routine with year make and model, and the same friggin automatic or manual transmission? as he just typed into the computer.
My favorite was when I was looking for parts for a ford taurus and they asked 2 or 4wd.
Sounds to me that they still don't know whats going on with your truck and trying to buy time. The messed up thing is when The IH dealer I worked at needed parts from international they had to be orderd by computor their was no other way to order them if the parts were from cummins or cat or another IH dealer we could get them over the phone. You could have them check to see if other dealers have them in stock but it sounds like the melling is a much better unit.

There was a 4wd ford car , may have been a Taurus...
Got the part delivered today. Too late for them to work on it though. They should start the repair on Monday. I hope it gets fixed within a day or two...
