Been a ford guy all my life and couldn't pass up on this dually!! LOVE IT!
THANX FOR POSTING THE PIC!!!
Not a problem at all, we've all bee there picture wise.
$1000? Damn steal... I want to get one of those, 4" lift and 35's, some stacks, HID's, and modernize the interior with some 2000+ SD seats. I can't find a 86 up here thats not beat to ****, or rusted to where the brake pedal pushed through the floor. Those old girls had character.
I've never had any problems with my DMF, and it's the original with 377k miles on 'er.
Does knock harder than an old Chevy 305 when you shut it down.
Mine squeaks and rattles when it gets warmed up. It's barely within spec as far as allowable freeplay. I was hoping it would last longer but I know at least one of the previous owners used this truck for a 5th wheel and I probably haven't been to nice to it either.
may not look heavy but it was full of wet foam under a rotten floor.... had to gut it and redo it from the stringers up. pulled like my big orange trailer with the skid steer on it...... we built it like a brick ****house so its still heavy.... truck pulls her fine but the brakes may need some attention.

You just gave me chills. Our Glasspar was like that too. It floated a good 4 inches higher in the water after we rebuilt it from the stringers up - just like you. Why the heck do they go through so much trouble to put WOOD and rotty foam in a FIBER GLASS structure that is supposed to be immune to a marine environment?
i was told that if the foam were dry and the boat were to capsize then it would float longer with the foam in there...... seems rather pointless if she's capsized she's capsized a boat this size there is nothing i could do about it.

If ever lost at sea or capsized, ALWAYS stay with the boat. In the event of being capsized, the foam will keep it afloat so searchers/ rescuers can locate you (as long as you stay with the boat).
