So similar size bed as what I have on my dually then, mine's about 7' wide, and 9' long. I only have the 18" high racks on it though, so really have to pack the wood in (stacking it if necessary) to get a full cord on. I'm debating about adding some extra racks onto my existing ones for the lighter weight loads that I sometimes have to carry.
I need something quick and easy to throw on and off though, as I need a flatbed for hauling hay still, in order to get the 4 round bales on the racks must be off.
It's freakin' indestructible, but it came with the truck when I bought it. I haven't a clue where one would get it, but I've seen a couple other trucks locally that have them, similar generation, usually on Craigslist. I think a local company did it back in the day, and went out of business or something. You could probably do it yourself, just have to measure, and then hit up a local metal shop that can do the bending, it's riveted into the rails of the bed, and then bolted into the like tared wood base. Literally have chucked concrete slabs, metal, wood, gravel, etc into the bed of the truck. concrete slabs just scuffed the plate, and the layering on the wood adds a slight non-slip while still being able to slide things in and out without the huge resistance that like rubberized mats cause.
picked this ol girl up for a 1000 bucks!! Smokes alot while idling on startup but goes away 10ft down the road. Top speed is 55mph hauling or not, thanx to the 4:11 rear and 3 speed auto. Lots of hills up here in Northern NH but she pulls up em!!

Been a ford guy all my life and couldn't pass up on this dually!! LOVE IT!
Single mass flywheel. His truck came stock with the problematic double mass that never seems to last and is very costly to replace.
You got it, dang thing is making a ton of noise but still moves the truck. Just got the parts in today, thankfully the springs in my stang were up to the task of hauling them home.
I've never had any problems with my DMF, and it's the original with 377k miles on 'er.
Does knock harder than an old Chevy 305 when you shut it down.
