Here's what it looked like when I got it:

Under that sheet of plastic in the bed was nothing but the sub-structure of the bed, and clear space to the ground...
The dump is a '93 F350 7.3, ATS 093, E4OD. Hopefully soon to have a 6.9. It's a class-A rust bucket. It spent 10 years plowing & throwing salt in Michigan before I got it.
The other truck is a '93 F250 Supercab XLT, 460, E4OD. It's clean (though not as clean as snapons'), low miles, & a pretty good truck. Though with the TTB front axle, I'm pretty sure the USS Missouri will turn inside it...
The chipper's even older than that, FORDF250HDXLT, it's not even an "a" model, just a bc625...
I gather you cut & chip?
Yeah, the plow hangs out an extra 13" because of a "side swing" I built for it.

Phy i want a dumb bed exactly like that! im lookin for either a 7.3 or 6.9 single cab with that dump bed! I love that style!
When I got the truck, a friend of mine with a fab shop started helping me battle patch it up. After looking at it closely, we figured that we'd spend less time & money if we pretty much just started over... We kept the headache rack, the main framework that the lift connects to, and the back uprights, and scrapped the rest. I wanted to make it taller, anyway.
Mason dumps always look goofy, & I wanted the extra volumn. I can get 4.5 yrds in it easy. It's built out of structural tube & 11ga. sheet, so it's plenty stout.
Phy
btw- Love the looks of your truck. I've always liked that red.

yeah man you guys did a great job! I love the higher sides on it im with you... need the extra cubic feet or volume! Cant tell ya how many times i gotta get of the tractor to pick up the pieces of wood that didnt make it into the bed of the truck cause the tractor bucket is just a smidge wider than the bed sides ugh.
That's a close guess, the front is 22" and the back is 20 1/2".
Here's a pic of my truck with a friends, just to give you an idea of the lift on my truck ( the chevy has 16 1/2" lift with 44" boggers, a nice truck).
Oreo, how about put up a pic of your truck to.
.... 22"? hard to believe the truck has 10" more lift then mine, but its totally possible. how tall is the top of your cab? how tall is the bed rail over the axle?
almost how it looks now.
this one is before the rear axle got shifted back. oh, im 5'11"
oreo... when you moved your axel back did you do it with the axel flip kit? by moving that back? Also did you have to lengthen your driveshaft as well?
when I did the shackle flip kit, it moved the axle forward, pushing the slip into the you joint so had plenty of driveline to just slip the spring mounts back 2 1/2"

dammit!
too bad she's already rotted out!
that's just too good of a rig to see such an early life span.
are you sure a second mechanic couldn't check her ars out lol.
yes,you gather correct.
i own a tree service.though, the guys around these parts try and hurt me if i mention "electrical", let alone the word " end game" oh wait, maybe they're megadeth fans like this old hippy after all? lol!
