Theres nothing in the roof, just the 2 sheets of metal with an air gap inbetween.

My dad just used 2 very short metal screws to bolt it up there. It's been up there since 1991 and never came loose or anything.

But for in the next cab, I don't wanna do any holes, so I'll be using a strong magnet.

Thanks, I think I'll go the same route as your pops and put sheet metal screws in, very short ones.

i like it, i have one in both my trucks. its a 29 Nightwatcher with the weather bands on it.

I got mine mounted under the dadgum steering column, You guys have seen that im assuming, i got the Cobra 29 too. What kind of antenna you running?
