OR you can throw a cc cab on your frame and put a short bed on.
How much actual work is that? I've been thinking this more and more with my truck, as my drive train/frame/axles are solid, and next to no rust, it's the body thats falling apart on me. As apposed to hunting down a working truck/frame/body, and swapping all the good parts over, what kinda project would that be?
My IDI camper has been all over Canada, coast to coast, same thing for the USA.
We still got about a dozen states to cover here and there but that's about it.
You MUST let me know when you get to Massachusetts or Connecticut! Plan your trip accordingly, hit Mass. right around 3k miles into your trip so you can do an oil change at my house!

not much at all. when i get a chance ill take pics of the centurion cc sb conversion we got. see how they did it. i bet you could have it all done in a weekend. only thing is, its a 92-97 cluster so you will need a vss rear axle and a few different sensors i think. i got the axle here though.
Thanks for the compliments. Before i got it the truck was painted that color i like it better then the gary it used to be. If anyone wants that color its 95 ford code KE. Found that out when the left fender needed replacing because a deer pushed it back into the tire. The hypermax works great, its kind of a requirement with the #5600 trailer with the #12500 tractor. Right now they both make about the same horsepower in the 220 range, for now the tractor is getting that bigger turbo sitting on the shelf in the shop.

Cool, now that Im not using her as a work truck, the 8 foot bed is kinda excessive. Theres this sweet triple door crew cab up here with a short box. Id have a photo but Im usually passing it going like 70 mph as it crawls up the hills...

Well that's mighty nice of you! We've already covered all that area of the north east back in 2005 and some other parts in 2009.
Last summer, 11,000 miles in 9 weeks, I did 3 oil changes in Wal-Mart parking lots.
And by the way, even though we have a camper, we don't camp...we travel, I can't stand "camping" like staying parked in a campground for many days.
We stay overnight in Wal-Mart parking lots, or where ever we can for free, only for 1 night anyways. Gotta save money some how
Plus I love driving hours on end, non stop, only reason why I am forced to stop every now and then is cause the motorhome only does 600km (375 miles) per tank.
