It wouldn't be that hard to do a little metal work on the box and move the inner wheel wells and the fender mounting locations.
Are you nuts man? Them factory dually beds are a royal pain to even attach the fiberglass fenders on, there ain't no space to do the kind of work you're suggesting. If anything I'd chop the bed on two somewhere close to the front wall, then stretch the thing by a few inches... or just slide the bed back some and run 3" stacks between it and the cab with some tall but flat toolbox between them for storing chains and straps and maybe some fluids.

Yeah, but what's the point of moving EVERYTHING fender-related on a factory bed, when it's so much easier to just stretch the bed some? I mean, I'm all for being industrious and all, but what you're suggesting is borderline OCD, lol.
As long as you like removing rivots. I know I had fun removing 62 rivots when I slid the axle forward on my 84 F250 chassis. You won't have that many to mess with though.
And don't forget you'll need to have the driveshaft shortened too.
F-superduty spring hangers are held on with bolts not rivits. It is just a matter of unbolting , drilling new holes 4" forward then bolting back on

Either way modifying the bed is still cutting and welding! OCD? ME? Never!! You should know by now I like doing things the hard way!

Man I should have known that! I've got a 91 F-Super Duty sitting in my driveway.
What about the crossmember, shock mounts and all the other misc items. Is everything bolted in? If it is that would make things easier.

Looks like everything is bolted in, or atleast that's what I want to remember! But now that I think about it, I'd have an interesting time re-locating the shock absorber mounts, as well as running into issues with the front tank.
However, i do like where it sits for towing means. If I have a goose neck in, it doesn't sit so close to the cab.

When you start moving things around you are going to run into more and more things that are going to have to be modified.
Having the axles set back is better for towing. How is the box length? Is it a good match or is the box short?

theres only 36 rivits to be removed, and can be replaced with bolts. i moved my axle back 2 1/2" and it was easy enough.

I said mine was 62 rivots. I shortened a supercab chassis to 110" wheelbase so I removed a couple crossmembers and slid a few others forward.
What makes you say they can't be replaced by bolts? Everything on my frame is going to be bolted. I enlarged the holes on all my spring hangars to use 1/2" bolts.
