i got her dump up for the pose and everything.
SHORE LOOKS WAY YONDER GOODER THAN THE FIRST PICTURE i SAW OF IT!!!!!
I do love the colours, I almost bought myself a Red/White with a rebuilt 351W, with polished intakes and performance headers, looked quite similar to yours, but then I found the diesel and there was no choice from the first time I turned the key of it.
Haha, when I used to live in the city my neighbor's bedroom window was literally 10ft away from my engine - I honestly dunno how them folks managed to sleep though my 5am winter cold starts, as the rattle of the engine could be heard a block away.
When I had my truck strait piped, the ground would shake a block away. Lets not talk about flooring it anywhere over 2000 RPM. Thinking of going back to that eventually but with a 4" pipe this time. Muffler was a big waste of money. Made it quieter for everyone outside but the truck still drones inside the cab. I live on a 2 acre lot though, so my the closest next door is over 100' away and has to go through trees, embakments and buildings. Although the dodge cummins owner across the street always woke me up every time he got home after the late shift at 12am. Wouldn't mind exept for the fact that newer cummins diesels seem to sound like ricers when they are strait piped. His old cummins 12valve was better, that was actually a nice sound to wake up to since the turbo was still audible.
This thread can't die!! After re-reading, i sure do like F250's double mirrors LOL!
No newbie here, but here's the rig's current status...nothing is permanent...everything is temporary until I figure out the best setup.
Got some funny looks on the way to the scrap yard that day...all that orange steel is overhang!
And that's my favorite picture, actually is my desktop background too!
edit;
oh yeah Rick.when i first bought her for $3300
time to invest in some bushwacker fender flares bud. cut that mess out, put some rust converter and the standard 1.5" flares will cover that whole area.
so, heres the newest picture i have. ive thrown on 97 rear doors, doing some metal work to the 97 front doors then those are going on too and i'll throw up new pics.
