I disagree. Since the PSD is SUPERIOR to any blecky gas engine (say's the man who owns a pretty kick-*** gas powered 5.4L ) then the PSD isn't compared to anything else. Everything else is compared to the PSD because it IS the standard!

Another way to look at it is what do you want?

Wow, really? Wet blanket much? Getting all realistic and logical on us? People must LOVE you at a party!!
The diesel engine is always better cause it's cooler. No gas engine can smoke the tires and roll coal at the same time.
That settles that, the PSD wins.
Do you really think that a gas motor won't smoke the tires, one of my project trucks that I built was a 1981 F250 SC that had a 460 that I built would spin the tires all the way into 3rd gear until I let off (we only had 3 speeds back then) and I didn't have to rely on dumping raw fuel to make smoke because mine was coming off the tires.
I don't know if my 6.2 would spin the tires because I have never tried it but with a DRW and a Dana 80 limited slip rear end that doesn't slip much 4 tires are harder to spin than 2 and tires are to expensive to waste making smoke.

The only thing smoking around a gas truck is the owners credit/debit card being swiped at every gas station
We travel with a lot of other RVers and towing we are the same or within a mile or two when compared to the newer diesels. Right now we are traveling with a Ram and I'm getting 8.4 and he's getting 9.5 towing heavy trailers. We are running 55 to 65 depending on the roads, tomorrow it will be almost all interstate so we will set the CC at 65 and let it run. We have an aux tank so we have a long range between fills.
