Positively

D..........evice

Haha. Jk. ;-)

I'd love a 6.7. I just don't have that money tree growing big enough yet in my backyard.

I think 2012 and newer Ford has worked the bugs out of the 6.7's, I wouldn't mind one.

I just meant the acquisition cost. If I went diesel I want the FULL warranty, so new it must be. But that won't happen within the next 5-10+ years. Would like to enjoy the no required payments world for a while when I can.

Nothing like firing up a 7.3 on a cold morning and it wasn't plugged in the night before, and a huge white cloud covers your neighbors house, whom you don't like, while it sits and warms up!

Yes, it just has that smell of "time to go to work". Anyone that has been around diesels enough knows how their smell changes over time as well.

For me not much beats the smell of a newer diesel truck when it is first started and running for the first few minutes. As the engines get older and more filled with gunk and have more blowby the smell starts to get more of an oily smell to it which I don''t find as appealing as a new diesel smell but still smells good!

You just wish your diesel smelled like a diesel.

The engine is in the same truck and are rated to pull the same so I would fully expect to see an SD pulling a load regardless of powerplant. I just prefer low end grunt to top end power...and stopping for fuel half as many times.

If I don't warm it up on a colder day I feel like people are going to be running their waste cans down the driveway as I drive down the street thinking the garbage truck is early!

I agree. It's almost therapeutic, though, to work on mine (and I work on it a lot). I hear that the new fuel systems alone cost more than my truck's blue book value.

Instead of chlorinated water? I've inhaled enough of the stuff for one life time.

Went to a Ford dealer today to look at a 2012 with a 6.7 (took it for a test drive), all I can say is WOW that 6.7 is a power house and this was stepping out of my V10 with 4:30 gears that feels like it has *****. I can see why guys that drive these enjoy them.

That's exactly why I won't test drive one. My stupid brain will malfunction and convince me to buy one.

When I went to pickup our friends 2012 6.7 I was impressed with the empty performance but empty I believe my 6.2 with 4.30 gears was more get up and go, I drove it 280 miles. The extra HP and the 6 speed makes the 6.2 with 4.30 gears a rocket for a heavy truck.

Agreed. I went from 3.73 to 4.30's and my mileage has suffered greatly since I that smaller pedal doesn't feel right anymore without it pushed down further towards the firewall. I don't speed I just gotta make sure I reach that speed limit as fast as possible. No tickets for driving too slow here.
