what better way can you settle it than by gettin the chain out ....If your goin to talk about how much your truck can pull , than you better make sure you got good tires.
You mean you found one 7.3 that made it a million miles? WOW!!I have seen personally more than a dozen with 6-700k on original engines, that just happens to be one example. And one 6 leaker that made it 400k?Its not hard to make a 6.0 run longer than that..... I have seen them with higher mileage than that. I wonder how many headbolts, turbos, etc it went through. For the price of a long block 7.3 or 6.0, I could buy 3-4 long block V-10's. What quality v10 block would that be

Tires, wieght distribution and gearing are what give you an edge in a pulloff. Engine power has very little to do with who wins.

I can think of better 1, 2, 3 and 4 ways to test trucks other than pulling chains.
Done it many many times vs a 7.3, towing heavy or solo. Even hopped up 7.3's have a hard time getting 360 hp and then are undependable. Stock 6 leakers are also easy. V-10's from 2005-2010 will eat any stock 7.3 towing or not, it's not even close.
Ummm. That's what powerbraking is. If you spin, you did a bad one.
Hmmmm. No its no its not. Powerbraking is just that. Holding the vehicle back will building power. Most of the time if done by somebody that has a clue their trying to spin the tires. Its called a burnout around these parts.
What I'm talking about is just like sitting at the red light. Just I have alittle more not much more rpm. I don't know if yall know it or not these fire by wire systems has a little delay in them. If you stomp the gas nothing happens at first. I've heard all kinds of reasons why. Safety, timing of the pulse etc etc. I've found 2 ways to fool the system. 1 is have slightly raised rpms then mash the gas or mash the gas to about 5/8 to 3/4 of wot then finish up. Both case seem to tell the system its in an aight accelarated condiction.
The diesel has a lot more slack than the gasser. Heck I get on my truck and she ask me if I'm talking to her. Oh boy once she knows what I'm telling her to do you better watch out she's gone and taking anything in front or hooked up behind her with her. Me and my baby has been in a lot of tight places and situations. I know what she's gonna do at the given moment. Her and I is a force to be reckoned with. That's how I can say I'll go up against anybody in towing.

How do you figure? A well done 7.3L with 360HP is no less dependable than a stock one, and it would eat your v10, loaded or empty!
BTW, just because you pass a 7.3L some where doesn't mean you have outtowed him I get passed alot, but it isn't because I couldn't keep up if I wanted too. I have smoked alot of corvettes, but only because they were'nt racing me....
Find someone with the same age PowerStroke, stock, with the same gears and tranny that will pull with me. I will run circles around them.
No, you won't run circles around them, I'll even allow to say you might beat by a little at high speed, but you aren't going to beat by much. (if they are truly stock to stock)
