Here's a pic of a few I have within arms reach. Can I post now?
Where's yers at?
No one can read those and I am in transit, so no track times right now can afford to break something. Rest assured once i get settled i will be at the track soon enough.
We go from who can pull 15K+lbs up a mountain pass and burn less fuel, to who's gonna win a drag-race with an ultra-tuned diesel...

A tuned/modded diesel that can win any drag race (especially against a Lightning) will NOT last long going up a pass towing heavy before the EGTs go so high they have to slow down.

I think I see a 16.xxx and ALLOT of yellow (lost) slips.

not totally true, most those guys run water meth injection with just water and keep the temps down nicely especially while towing.

I was pulling 3-5% grades with my 100 horse tune. the 10% percent grade in the black hills yah it was in stock lol.

Then when the water/meth system malfunctions (when, not if) they have a nice mound of melted aluminum in each cylinder.
Giving them 8 to 10 pounds of boost is a very safe tune.
The stock powdered rods on the V10 isn't going to handle that too long when towing. Best to keep it around 5 or 6 lbs. Thing is with 5 or 6 pounds (intercooled) you are looking at well over 100hp and 100tq and a nicer torque curve also.

and when *that* fails could be used for any part on any vehicle. so when your rods on your v-10 fail at any boost because the engine was was not built to be boosted your left with a huge paper weight.

Do you really think that? I dunno. My brother is beating up on some people on the street that is. He's pulled a couple good loads up some nice hills and his hottest temp has been 1150. Here's the thing you don't pull the hill like your trying to do a 11 second 1/4. Of all people I expect you to understand. I will agree w/ you if you don't be smart w/ your mods you very well will see a castrotrific failure.

word, I pull hills by my EGT's. watch the gauges adjust foot accordingly.
Is that a "Power-joke"?? You are really in the clouds. A 7.3, even stoked up is easy money for my V-10, loaded or solo, take your pick. Done it too many times over these past 4 years. Only the newer stock diesels can hold up to my V-10, they do have the poop.
Pap
How do you figure? I have driven v10s, 3v ones at that, and they aren't the magic powerhouse you make them out to be..... A chipped 99-03 7.3L will outrun a 3v v10 towing or empty. I know, i've driven both.
My truck (once I get my tuning done) will outrun any new diesel, so I guess I wouldn't have any trouble with your V10 either.

Yellow slips are not always losses, as whites are not always wins. There's a 16 in there somewhere.
Performance potential is as important to some, as reliability is to others. If you like to tinker, have fun, and go faster, PSD's win hands down.
just depends on the copy the guy give you after the pass. I wont lie my truck was not running right last time I went. I still managed to out run a new RX-8 the guy was froggy and waited for me in line a second time, it was even worse for him. but the new RX-8s are pretty slow.
