Hey Bill, 12000+ posts and everyone still disagrees about that
I know no similarly loaded v10 has ever passed me, and their chances are not improving.... (as my power level goes up )
Is that a "Power-joke"?? You are really in the clouds. A 7.3, even stoked up is easy money for my V-10, loaded or solo, take your pick. Done it too many times over these past 4 years. Only the newer stock diesels can hold up to my V-10, they do have the poop.

Pap
I wonder if pilots flying Boeing Jetliners gab about which one of their airliners is faster than the other. If you wanna fly fast, fly a fighter.
Me, its all about power and economy. The 7.3 has it, all day.
Some people (selectively) forget that the power curve consists of horsepower AND torque...
That might be a way to put it and it might describe a lot of folks. There's also the ones that don't know what horsepower is. You can't have this conversation w/ somebody that doesn't know what horsepower is. If you ask them to define 1 horsepower and they can do it then you can continue w/ the conversation.

Oh, and I haven't sen a faster V10 yet...
They don't gab about it, they compare.
What part of spending more money for the vehicle and more money to maintain it doesn't fit into your "economy" figures?
I just don't understand why you diesel guys STILL don't get that part. Economy has to do with amounts of money spent, you guys think just fuel mileage figures ino that and you're all DEAD WRONG.
Wanna see a faster V10? Ask ANY of them to race you. You will lose. Especially to a 3v V10.

Did you really just go there? I've said all along that a diesel cost more to keep up. I've been all but called a lier. I've even proved how much my fuel filters cost when I was told I was wrong. Did they amit they was wrong? No. Fuel milage shrinks the cost difference. By a long shot. Its guys like you that doesn't understand that to guys like me getting the load moving is more imporant than doing 80 mph. I value going more mpg loaded so I'm not stopping as much. You don't have to agree with. Until you buy me a truck or pay my bills it doesn't matter what you think. You can try to pencil whip me all you want. Its never gonna happen. I've seen quite a few bottom lines where the psd had a good bit lower per mile cost than the 6.8l. I have a lower cost per mile than any 6.8 owner I know.
