and i dont need all those rpms to pull your truck out of the mud after you dig yourself in a hole from slinging all that mud haha. just good old fashioned power!
well your insecurities are shining through, if i owned the superior engine (from your perspective) and was wiping out V10s in my 1997 (an even weaker version of the 7.3) i would not have to come on here and bash the POS V10, hey you owning the baddest truck around should be enough
and one more thing, we all know you can hop up diesels, but this does not come without a price, and that is longevity, and correct me if i am wrong, but you will not be towing with the tuner at the highest setting, so all that extra power is for what? when your truck is empty, well, at least your truck is faster than mine!!!

I do not have a tuner and the truck she got is a POS 2V 5.4, so no I did not feel "real power".

How dare someone assume that the stuff in your sig is actually ON YOUR TRUCK. Heh heh... that's funny.

I have a basically stock 7.3, and I am not ashamed to admit that it is wimpy. And before someone says "there's something wrong with it", I will make this blanket statement:

"250 HP in a big truck is wimpy". (Maybe I'll make THAT my new sig line )

I still love the 7.3, but I have no illusions about what it will or will not do. I still would rather tow with it than my much-less-wimpy 330HP/400 ft.lb. GM gasser. That's because, and only because, I would rather tow at 1800 rpm than at 3500 rpm.

But, if I were in a race pulling a trailer, I would use the GM, which spanks the Ford.

I would rather have my 6.8 over that piece of crap 6.4 PSD that ford bought back from me do to multiple issues and mileage was never better than 7.8 towing 12k and the truck had 23k on it when it was taken back by ford. Now my 7.3 I loved that Ex but it died in SD and it was tuned, piped, CAI, and trans build, but valve train burned up heat and programmer plus increase elevation towing not good for the 7.3.

Are you running 5.88s in that thing??!!?!?! I'm at 2250 at 75mph. If you calculate it out you are looking out at topping out around 118mph at redline (3400rpm) for a stock 7.3L (3.73s and stock tires). I'm sure the 6.0s are even faster with the 5 speed Torqshift.
You are about right on the top speed. That is the fastest mine has been according to my gps.
