that is true. But for the Saab, someone over at Saabcentral had their speedo verified on a dyno, and it was off. Anyway, I used to have the papers from that lawsuit (actually class action) with Honda, not sure if I moved them yet though since I got rid of that car about 5 years ago.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying a speedo can't be off or that certain cars can't be off more than others. I am just saying I wouldn't put much faith in a cops radar gun reading for determining the accuracy of your speedo. Most of the time they are within a mph or two, but many different variables can cause them to be off by quite a bit. The main one being whether or not your car was what it was actually reading.

Ok, time to get back on topic and time for me to head to the house.
Could you imagine how much higher the front end on Kajtek's truck would be if he had the v10? The only thing keeping the wheels on the ground is that heavy psd. Of course, now Bill will say that he would get better mpg's towing the same load because 2 tires on the ground create less friction than 4

So, the PSD makes for a better front end weight?!!!
The 5 tickets I've had, all when I was younger, 4 of them I thought I was going faster than the cop said.
You were probably not going directly at the radar gun when he got you. If there was an angle, the speed at which you were closing on the radar gun would be slower than your actual speed, unless the radar gun was a doppler radar, which I seriously doubt.
And the trailer jack is hitting the pavement ... ?
Actually it did not. The suspension at this point was so stiff that the couple of inches never closed. I added air helper bags since than to compensate the big rear overhang.
Also I pay more attention to load the rear of the trailer and not putting 6000 lb on the hitch.
I wonder how Bill's van would hold 6000 lb on the bumper?

That pic has been posted a lot, every time I'm drawn to the jack. No way I would/could drive with the jack that low, I couldn't even get in and out my driveway like that. Some people will just not get the right tool for the job.
Hmm... ever consider getting a three axle dumptruck to pull that excavator!

To clarify my previous statement, I rounded the rpm to 3000 at 75 mph, when it is about 2900. My rear is 4.3 from what I remember and I have 6-speeds.
Still pretty annoying when you are burning fuel unnecessary turning high rpm driving with small or no load.
I posted the picture before, but even with this load I was driving on 6th gear even on slight inclines.

You must be driving gaser
The truck pulled the weight just fine and I drove the I15 from Vegas to LA where there is a famous grade with lot of spots with burned asphalt on the shoulder.
The only problem the set has is weight distribution. While the truck has long rear overhang, the trailer has long front overhang. That puts most of the weight on the coupler. Now with air helper bags and excavator put couple feet towards the back of the trailer , I can fly
