That is a lot, what is the FTE record?

EDIT: I looked, and the most viewed thread I can find is the SD tech folder, at 65,516 views. It has been a sticky since 03.

Haha, thanks, but I never meant for it go on this long.

You know this thread will be 6 months old on the 27th?

Does not seem like it has been that long.

This is logging and ranching community and lots and lots of negelcted and abused F250's are on the roads, nearly all being diesels and if they were gonna fail, I'd have to think it would be here.
With my job, I have a lot of spare time so I spend most of it at my buddy's campground helping him out. I talk trucks with a lot of the campers that come through here and by and large, they love their 6.0's. In fact, I could probably find more people dissatisfied with their V10's here. I'm sure it pulls like a dream in Houston. Up here, not so much.

I've heard a lot of stories (all from here) about how bad they are but I don't personally know anybody that has had to change an injector, head gasket, HPOP, egr cooler, glow plug, or turbo. I do know some guys that had to replace their egr valve. Actually, let me rephrase: I know some guys that had their egr valves replaced by Ford for free. The only 6.0 guy I know that has had serious problems has had fits with the 5R100, not the 6.0.

Maybe I'm in the twilight zone, but there are 6.0's all over this mountain and I don't know of anybody who has had any problems with their 6.0. I do, however, know a few guys that made a bee line for the dealership as soon as they moved here and traded off their V10 or 5.4 for a psd.

Hello all,

Been awhile since I've been on here. I used to have an 04' V10 CC, it was an awesome truck, but had to get rid of it. Well the time may be comin' within the next year that I can get another SD. I really want to get an 05-07 love the way the trucks look. I'm curious about the 6.0 because of negative things I've read. Looking on Ebay at used trucks I see plenty of 6.0 trucks with well over 100,000 miles. It makes me wonder if they are all that bad. When the time comes I would of course get an Oasis report. I 'm guessing with so many SD's out there there would be more good ones than bad.

My 2 cents...

Mr. V10 (bill11012) .... I've been reading thru this thread and skipping here and there but now I'm LMAO about all the hype of the V10, I will undoubtedly be LMAO when GAS goes back up to $5.00 a gallon in the very near future. How many miles per gallon do YOU get? Me? Doesn't matter, because I'll be running Bio-diesel for 70cents a gallon. Put that in your pipe and "smoke it"!

In fact, I have diesel mechanics telling me it's undoubtedly the strongest running 7.3L they've EVER driven. They say it's running very good and with a lot of power.

2002 F250 "stock" 7.3L DIESEL
154,000 miles and running STRONG!!!
My TRUCK has very large CAJONES!

Just wondering about what is the availability of bio diesel across the States. I don't think we will see 5.00 per gal for awhile, but it would be nice to know. Are there any publications that list stations selling bio?

Local tow truck company has a 02 4x4 7.3 with 250,000 miles and still running strong. The boss and the crew were out just a couple of days ago doing a detail job on the truck. She cleaned up real nice.

I may just have to use my 7.3 if that happens.

I hate to use it because it is so slow, but it would take over most of my miles if gas went that high.

My V10 gets 7.5-16, just depends on what I am doing.

I would like info on the bio-diesel too, That could save me a lot over the stuff at the pumps going for $2.70 a gal.

Hey Classic 1956, been here for 3 years and just now making your first post? Glad you could join us.

I think they do make bio fuel for gassers, it's called ethanol. Way too expensive to be practical at this point though.

My 05 6.0 was an epidemic by itself!
