No, the truck runs straight. The dealer replaced the spindle. This was in 2003.

Haha, now it all makes since.
I'm not sure how having a couple of gallons of oil in the bed makes someone look like a fool.....I always carry a set of jumper cables, bottle of antifreeze, bottle of windshield washer fluid, 5 quart jug of oil, extra fan belt, and a flashlight with me in all of my vehicles. Never know when you'll need something.

Honestly, if that guy paid $1,700 to get his truck towed home, I would question his ability to go out in public unassisted.... We did have a $35,000 wrecker bill one time though. A car had been involved in a crime and we had to store it inside for almost two years while the investigation was going on. $50 a day storage adds up pretty quickly. We had another one that we had to keep inside for storage for over a month that was just plain nasty. A cop shot the driver in the head from 10 feet away and his passenger in the chest. We weren't allowed to touch the car, clean it, or anything. So it sat there for over a month with the guys head parts all over the dash. That's a smell you'll never forget.....

I towed 2 6.0's yesterday alone, but I can't remember towing a V10 powered truck at all.

I have a toyota paseo with 335,000 miles on it. Never been towed. Oh wait, that doesn't count.

I also have a Porsche Boxster that I have owned for 2 years and it has successfully made it on the back of a tow truck 2 times. PIECE OF CRAP!

Thats funny.

You gotta feel bad for the 6.0 guys that thought they were getting a motor like the 7.3.

If I thought the 6.0 was going to be like the 7.3, I would have kept the 7.3. Of course, between the two, I have only had to have one of them towed.

I think Bill is just referring to reliability, not performance.

Are the 6.0's really that bad? I sure see a lot of them around here and can't imagine that I've never heard of many problems prior to coming here. A freind of mine used to be the service writer at the local Ford dealership and while he said they did have diesels in periodically (no V10's BTW) for various failures, he didn't make is sound as if it were an epidemic. This is logging and ranching community and lots and lots of negelcted and abused F250's are on the roads, nearly all being diesels and if they were gonna fail, I'd have to think it would be here.

I don't think that they are really as bad as some people say, but in comparison to the 7.3 PSD, cummins 5.9, the 5.4 and the V10 the 6.0 PSD's reliability is not on par, to say the least.

Just my opinion.
