Part VI
Everything is still going smoothly...if you don't look to see her giant scar, you would never know something happened. This morning she was bright eyed, bushy tailed, her little nubbin waggin away like usual. Hope all you guys with colds/flu get over it soon. This time of year seems kind of depressing because its cold, the day doesn't last long, and it seems like everyone is sick all the time. Ready for spring!!!!!
How's everyone doing this beautiful day?
IMO it's more addicting than alcohal, tobacco, etc.
Once you completely delete caffeine from your diet you will feel like your feet are heavy for a week and will want to sleep at the drop of a hat.
Severe headaches, the more caffeine you injested, the worse they will be.
They will pass.
The first three days are the worst.
After that the headaches will pass and your muscle aches will start to fade as well.
A gradual fading of withdrawal symptoms will occur for the rest of the week.
It will take about a month before you finally begin to feel free of the stuff.
I've been off the stuff for about two years now, except for last weekend at Christmas time. I was stuffed and falling asleep at the table and had some coffee.
Big mistake.
All the muscle aches came right back the next day and I had to take some Advil.

). That evening on the drive home I just remember a pounding...and I do mean POUNDING headache. It dawned on me I hadn't had a drop of caffeine all day. Swing by a stop & rob and picked up a coke and everything was well. I can wean myself down to a cup or two of coffee (or 1-2 cans of Coke Zero) some days...but when I try to take myself completely off I just crumble under the pressure. I'm not worthy to go cold turkey.
it is a slow road though.

It's insidious!
.
I'm finally free of the stuff after a 30 year habit.
It strips so many essential vitamins and minerals from your system that you accept the junky way you feel on a daily basis as normal.
To feel "normal" you have to be off the stuff for a MINIMUM of three days and that is only for a small taste of how you are supposed to feel physically. A week will give you a better picture.
Trust me, been there done that several times over the years and I always want to drop the stuff when I am "using".
Coffee is one of the most powerful mood altering drugs on the planet.
Here is Wiki's article on the stuff.
The really scary stuff starts at "Mechanism of Action.
Reduced blood flow to the brain, etc.

I have a PHP chip and it works great.

How's everyone doing this beautiful day?
That is an addiction. I usually have a couple cups of coffee in the morning and a couple cans of Diet Mt. Dew through the day.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Regarding coffee, I was lucky, I never started on the stuff. Whenever I did have it I had to drown the coffee with sugar and milk, almost wasnt like drinking coffee.
I was lucky that I didnt smoke or get into drugs at all either.
Only bad habit I had like that was drinking booze, and now I do that so rarely its not even funny. I still have 5 cans out of a 6 pack I bought months ago!
For me and coffee, I just cant stand the taste of it. Im not much of a soda kinda guy either.
For me now its water by far, then milk. Used to be water, milk, beer, whiskey, and sambuca haha but ive grown out of that!
I'm like you, I used to not like the taste of coffee. Reguardless I do drink the stuff very often. One of my favorite passtimes is to hit the local greasy spoon for fried mushrooms and some coffee! haha! You can laugh at me if you want to but my favorite drink of choice is chocolate milk.

But hey, in my defense, it was going to be either coffee or beer. LOL! Darn women will drive a man to drinkin'..
hahahaha
So, first time my g/f is meeting some of the guys and their ladies, so we go out to dinner. After, we want dessert but nothing on the menu tickled anyone, so off to Wegman's (BIG FANCY grocery store nearby). We're at the checkout and this happens...
BA2: Jon, remind me to get chocolate syrup for the boys. I'm all out and they can't have chocolate milk then.
Jon: Why not get it now? There's some right there. Just grab it.
BA2: JON! That's GENERIC chocolate syrup. You REALLY can't expect me to give MY BOYS some GENERIC syrup! Seriously???!
Jon: Why not? It's mixed in milk!
BA2: NO WAY!! I couldn't do that to my boys!!!
Mega points to the g/f when she shot me the "W. T. F. ? ? ! !" look.
note: BA2 stands for Battle Axe 2. Jon had BA1 previously. The boy never learns.
