Is it sad cooking something like this excites me? haha!
I like to cook well enough to work at restaurants when I was a lot younger.
What made me quit was the stress of getting it all done correctly and quickly during the lunch and dinner rush.
I HATED that part of the job enough to seek a different vocation and 28 years later I am a successful owner of a car repair business.
But that hasn't stopped me from cooking at home for fun.
I love coming up with different ideas for the weekend meal.
Luckily for me they turn out pretty tasty and whenever I tell my wife that I have an "idea" she gets out of the kitchen and I do my thing.
It's the way that I relax.
The last thing that I came up with was a salmon marinated in a mango salsa, sliced up bite sized, broiled for one minute then wrapped in a tortilla shell with spinach, asparagus, sliced cucumbers, garlic dill mayonaise and some of the mango salsa.
MMMM mmmm MMMMmmmm MMMMMMM

What exercises are you doing? Are you trying to shake off some flab or are you trying to build muscle mass?

Push ups are always a good work out. That's all I've ever done (besides a little weight lifting but nothing to write about) and they help me retain some form.
Little bit of both.
Doing lots of weight lifting, just getting more into it, in different ways then I ever have. I ws one of those kids thta had a weight set when I was little and basically did bench presses, arm curls, military presses, chin ups and sit ups, and thats about it.

Now Im doing lots of leg and core stuff, as well as cardio, just to get into shape again. (not like im too far out, but it takes time!)

My main problem, seems to be I lost some metabolism, and when I got hurt, I didnt decrease my portion sizes like I should have. I grew up in a large family where we ate big! I worked it off all my life (ive yet to find someone that works harder then I, I say that proudly not c0cky) and I really slowed down when I was hurt and recovering, so now I have a little work to get to where I was before!

I thought it would have happened a little sooner, but I guess it takes more time then I originally thought.

Sounds like yours was good until you got home.

Hello Sheldon, Steve, Bill
Fondue,..never done that before. It involves cheese, must be good.

Yeah, mine was good until about 11:00 Monday morning...but that is all over with now.

We fondue in hot vegetable oil. Steak, chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, onions. Stuff like that. There are cheese and chocolate fondue stuff also. We have done the chocolate for desert. Never done the cheese really.

Let me say again how glad I am that she is doing so well. I cannot imagine how hard it will be when we loose our dog Chewy. He is a Golden/Collie mix. 12 years old. Just a matter of time now.
