Sorry to hear about everything Lis, hope everything works out for Mattie. It always seems like they know whats going on and you're absolutely right, it's like they know when we are upset about something.

We lost our black lab 5 years ago...she was a little over age 10 at the time. I had gotten up with my wife when she left for work and the dog seemed fine. After I got showered & dressed I found her laying in the kitchen floor...looked like she was headed to the doggy door in the back of the house. The boy was 4 at the time, so I had to quickly move the dog before he woke up...it was still hard to explain to him what happened. A couple of months later another lab came into our lives; both the kids and the dog are inseparable to this day. I know how your feeling about your best friend right now...hope everything turns out well.

Oh, they definitely know. I went to Spain a few years ago, and right about the time I boarded the plane in Madrid, Logan got up and started pacing the house, going from window to window... he knew. How...??
Lisa - you & Mattie are in our thoughts, and I'm sure if Logan were near enough, he'd lay down next to her, put his big ol' paw on her, and lick her face until her underbite was just about gone!
