That Name sounds familiar. She was a couple miles south of Steinbach. She was breeding Golden and White English Retrievers. One of the Golden got out and had his way with a White and we bought one of them 3 yrs ago. They also had exotic ducks and were looking after cattle for a neighbor.
Sounds like this person is in the same area. These puppys are German Shepherd, Elk Hound, Caucasion Shepherd and Newfoundland. They got a good mix going lol.
Good evening Brett, Colin, Curtis, Clint, Falcon Queen, Gerry, Grant, Randy, Sherm, Steve and everyone lurking in here.

Stay warm y'all
It wasn`t that cold here, -23°C and feels like -29 but the wind does have a good bite to it.

Its actually listed in order of expense as oil, electric, propane, and natural gas.
My 930 liters will cost me over $800 instead of the $600 I had figured. This is awesome.
Hopefully the insurance lady lets me know today that my insurance is in place. I'll be striking a match in the stove as soon as I hear the words.
Another chilly one here also. -40 windchill.
Cool pooches Randy!!!
I`m surprised that propane is costlier that oil, we had oil for many years and it didn`t seem that bad back than. SGI insurance is very cautious about allowing wood stoves in homes while in shops they don`t raise any fuss about.

Bummer about the wipers, that happened to me once and a few wires got pretty warm before I realised what happened.
Gotta love Kalan, not many kids think that way these days.

My Molly would love another friend to play with but she`s still a handful and takes a lot of my attention.

I like that, it would be pretty hard to part with any pups without knowing how they`re going to be treated or what kind of a home they'll end up in.

That's good news Morris. Usually watch the weather often but being laid up it's incentive to get my butt outside and move around!!!! Calling for -4, but i'll take it!!
It`s been a weird winter here so far, very cold until just before Christmas then cold turning very mild with above freezing then way back down again. It`s nice that we get a warm spell now and then but these cold swings in between are hard to take.
Morris - I like your family lol. I know how you feel with wanting more pets, we have two cats already but we needed a dog so we got one. Looking through the shelters I saw so many that I wanted to take home but my girlfriend said we could only have one One of our cats we rescued off the streets, she was about 8 months old when my girlfriend found her and about 5 pounds. Now shes a little over a year old and about 8-9 pounds.
Hey Morris, what's that green mat your pooch is laying on? Looks like some neat retro **** rug or something. I'd really like to find one like that in a couple months... lol...
Furnace oil is $1.28/liter, and to date you can only buy 85% efficient oil furnaces. Propane was at $0.63 when I first made the decision to switch, and the furnace runs 96% efficient. Talking to Coop yesterday enforced my desire to switch real soon. Propane has jumped from $0.63 originally, to $0.87 on this last fill, now will be going up to $0.99 in a week.
Colin I haven't thought about the Geothermal at all. I've known a few people who have had it and no one seemed to be real thrilled with how it performs in our climate. The only way it seems to make sense is if the lines are run vertically instead of horizontally, but then it adds to the expense a lot. Natural gas is making the most sense for now...
Yes we are, I just have two questions for you. Would we be able to switch the meeting point from Swan River to Dauphin? Looking at the map it doesn't change the distance of your drive at all, actually a few clicks less and its just a straigt drive for you as well. The main reason is because Dauphin is the same distance from Gillam as Swan River is but its only a 4 hour drive to my girlfriends parents vs a 6 hour drive from Swan River. My next question is what time would work best for you. We would be leaving at about 4-5am so we would get to either Swan or Dauphin at around 4-5pm if that works? We can leave earlier or later too if that time doesn't work.
