Exactly tho I don`t think that new cummins are as good as the old 5.9`s were.

With all the emissions crap that the new diesels have all three brands reliability has gone down, along with fuel mileage, durability, and longevity. That's why I removed the emissions off my truck

That would be awesome, but I'd suggest waiting to make sure that it is possible to pull that spaceship exhaust off before ordering. I'm fairly certain that it will be possible but it might take a few months before anyone does. As for the colour, my last truck was black and it was impossible to keep clean so for this truck I went with white and I'm not regretting it. My only regret is that it has the black leather interior which in the summer is hot enough to cook an egg.

Evening Brett, Randy, Morris n Gigger.

Gig, the 2015....White. Stick with the theme you have with the trailer
You trading or selling your 06?

Randy...I know your leaving in the mornin, sorry we couldn't hook up. Lots of family stuff going on this week and I needed to get some things done while I had some free time.

On that note, I spend a couple hours today pulling the Banks 6 gun out of the eX. What a gong show of wiring from whoever installed it. Still have burnin fingers from the cold lol, wiring and gloves just don't work so well. Got a code when I pulled it out, didn't realize there was some of the factory wiring tapped into with the banks. Under the dash. So when I "thought" I elliminated it doing the PHP Ficm tune I WAS WRONG....... Interestinly enough, once I cleared the code(s) the truck shifted and pulled hard on the hwy again. Holding and shifting all gears. Big error on my part as it did alot of damage to the tranny over the holidays until I could address it. Another lesson learnt the hard way.
On the plus side, I'm pretty sure I got rid of my parasitic draw in the process. Testing the wired before elliminating, I had a .8A draw from the banks wiring under the hood. So it must not have gone into sleep mode when originally disabled (or so I thought)
Said to my son today "It pays to pay attention to detail son", he said as he pointed to the wiring laying all over the snow " Hello......." Lmao

Go white Gig, or tri white metallic with adobe lower accents Randy, I was thinking the same butt burning with the black leather, but then I seen the button that says seat a/c

I love dark colors in a showroom, but they're a pain in the *** once they're in the real world.

Way to lead by example Curtis lol...

Its all good Curtis, there is always a next time. Now that you got rid of that Banks crap, its time to get a real programmer! You got the FICM tune, now get either some Gearhead or Innovative Diesel SCT tuning and you'll have yourself a real power house. Also attention to detail is an important life aspect

Yes the seat coolers are awesome on a hot summer day but that still doesn't stop your hands from burning on the steering wheel, or your arm burning when it touches the centre console or arm rest… I agree that dark colours are really appealing but when it comes to function, its so much nicer not burning yourself all the time lol.

I've settled on Bills tunes at PHP. Now that i've purchased the Gryphon I have access to my 4 FICM tunes and I set up an appt for reprogramming the Gryphon for his ECM tunes. From what i've been reading, his are on par with ID and Gearheads tunes. Most of all, reviews of his tunes are leading me to believe the best part of his tunes are the TCM programming is above the rest. He's getting very good feedback from alot of guys on here and another forum. I'll be booking an internet date with him in the near future Basically he logs into my brainbox with the Gryphon hooked up, does his majic. I take it to my truck, load it. Head back to the puter and he reverts the Gryphon back to a FICM tuner. He's been writing alot of tunes for the SCT programmers. There's a huge waiting list for him right now.
I like the fact that i'll be able to play with some settings like TC lock up. I'll have the ability to lock it up earlier if need be with a couple pushes of a button. I can pick any stratagy I want along with the tunes. So it fully updates my ECM to what's proven out on the street for years n years as for strategy, EGR delete, TCM ect ect.

So time will tell. Once it warms up i'll be pulling injectors and having them machined proffesionally, i'll do the rebuilding and put them back in. Nothing crazy as it's a DD but there's no reason not to expect a min of 425HP/800FT with 14-16MPG. One very respected, dyno proven, pictures posted, Held at an event, STOCK turbo/injectors 460HP/860FT. So IMO that's pretty darn good for a $150 tune. A friend on another site who scanned my truck for me with AE has a crazy, driveable DD, stage 3, 190's + injectors easy 500hp+ and gets 18-20MPG plus with his. AKA Twoicebergs on utube. Very, very nice guy with a wealth of knowledge.

Sorry for the , just get excited knowing there's a bit of a light at the end of the tunnel. Been a long month with alot of stuff on hold

I see Twoicebergs on Powerstroke.com once in awhile. He seems to be very knowledgeable about the 6.0's.

Nothing wrong with getting excited about truck mods, always gets me giddy like a kid waiting for Christmas lol. With 460hp your Ex is gonna haul ***! We really need to line up our trucks this summer and see what they can do. Also who doesn't like better fuel mileage with more power
