I've got some of those BFH's Colin. The really cool thing about the acreage we bought is that we made the offer on it "as is". The owners didn't have an auction or anything to get rid of the junk they'd accumulated over their lifetime here. On one hand its a complete pain in the *** because I've got a lot of cleaning up to do. On the other hand, I've been left with some really cool stuff. Most of it I don't have a use for, some of it I don't have a clue what it is, some of it is garbage, and some of it is just plain cool. Like, I now own a electric cattle prod... Never in my life would I have thought of owning a cattle prod. I've got two hydraulic motors that attach to a tractors pto to create auxiliary hydraulics. There's a raft of other junk kicking around that I haven't filtered through yet... Fun times.
Have a good Friday evening all...Kokanee's calling...
My dad told me when he was younger and he and my uncle would go out to their uncles farm, when it was morning time their uncle would yell down the stairs for them to get up. Then he would come down the stairs 10 minutes later with a cattle prod and if they were still in bed they got prodded. So they learned quick that when he said it was time to get up, you got up lol.

Awesome job on the plumbing Sherm!! That sure was a "crappy" situation you were in there.....hehehhe.
Only 3 things to remember being a plumber:
Payday every second Friday,
Crap runs down hill and
NEVER chew your finger nails
Your property sounds pretty awesome to me. You never know what your going to run into under the piles of rubble. We still have old bottles, car parts, coal somehow floating to the top of our yard. Same with my neighbor across the road who's family has lived there since the 1900's. You never know what you may find, we bought ours as is as well. Made for a hell of a clean up when we started the Reno. Guy was a garbage collector with a side of Grow op in the now ManCave. Of coarse we found out months after purchasing but often wondered about the amount of cars that pulled in, then quickly backed out and split. When I reno'd the interior, I had to replace the true Fir 2x4 on the bottom but that was it. Let it dry out and it was solid as a rock. One day when I win the big one, I'll build my own place further back on the property!!
Found an old arrow head from waaaaay back. Did research on it and it was a rare find. Unfortunately, during the move in process, the wife got sick of seeing it above the sink and unknowingly tossed it. Value, who know's. Rare, definately.
Good friends of mine bough a house that use to be a party house. They gutted their entire basement and had to replace some drywall but other than that it wasn't in too bad of shape. In a few years my girlfriend and I plan on buying our own land and most likely we are going to build our own house. As long as I get a nice shop I'm happy . Also, too bad about your wife throwing out your arrow head.
Morning Randy, Grant, Gigger, Morris, Clint, Sherwin, Steve and everyone who lurks in
Time to throw on the ski pants and go do some blowin.......
Neighbors behind me are on Holidays in Florida so I have theirs as well, luckily I have thier JD to use!! Their drive is 250' in total length. The best part is I don't have to do mine by hand
Happy Saturday mornin'all. We got a couple inches last night, so I'll Clean it out this aft. I'm at work, just checking on customs clearance. I then do some growly shoppin, then get the critter's out to help me clean up the snow. We don't have hockey till 5:45pm. The house is a mess, so if the critter's don't want to vacuum and wash floor's, I'll run them ragged outside. Curtis; If your wife is home tonight, cook her a wonderful supper. You too Randy It goes a long way. I do It every weekend, and even clean up my mess. Looks like our weather people are at it again. Back to the cold starting Monday. Have a great day guy's. G: I forgot to tell you, the Damage on Dawn's Explorer was $35,000 The settlement was a lot more than I anticipated. Dawn loves the Edge. I will be due for a new one in a couple years. I may buy one also, if I don't find a pick-up I like.

I had a busy day yesterday and didn`t get a chance to drop in. No fresh snow and it was so nice out, +3, that after supper I took the quad out and had a blast. Later on I watched my grandson`s hockey game.

There are a few rumors of a possible settlement starting up in Sk fairly soon.
Colin are you one of those guys who gives a "heeby-jeeby" shiver when you enter the city and see all the people and traffic? I am, can't stand the place.
I haven't made a "city" run for a while now. Almost tempted to go soon. Need to make a Cabelas run Might even head to Minot or Bismarck for a weekend...take the new truck for a road trip.
Does anyone here bow hunt? (Meaning archery, not out hunting for bows, in case there's a smart *** kicking around... ). I've really got the itch to get into it lately. I could very easily do it in my own yard now. Been pricing out different packages, even considering a longbow or recurve bow...
