Beautiful day here Boys... Spend a good portion of it outside. Fired a few rounds through the Winchester Model 94 .30-30 that I won. Neat little gun. Target shot with the missus for a bit with the .22, I wasn't counting but I believe I got my *** whooped.

Loving the weather!!
MY Favorite deer rifle ! The terrain I hunt in , the 30-30 is the best choice . Winchester , own 2 , and Marlin . I prefer the 94 .
Its spring Sunday. Supposed to warm up to +4 this afternoon. Nice temps all week.
Ram boys don't like getting beat by girls in Fords...
Its my parents 33rd anniversary today.
It was nice here too, water running everywhere and the snow banks are getting a lot smaller now.
The Ram boys should be used to it by now....
Congratulations to your parents Sherm!

What are your guns laws like? Here we have to have a possession licence just to have any rifles.
I got my first rifle at age 9 . In Tn. I think you have to be 18 to legally " own " a longarm and 21 to own a pistol . If I want to purchase a new firearm from a dealer , I must pass a background check . Private sales are exempt . I can take a course and obtain a concealed carry permit . Owning a firearm for hunting or home defense requires no permit . Only exceptions being ,a convicted felon , or a restraining order placed against you for fear of harm or mental defect . That is how I understand the law as of now .
It is a neat little gun. I wouldn't have spent the $1200 to buy it, but winning it in an ammo draw was pretty sweet.

I may try the .30-30 this year for white tail. My favorite rifle is my Marlin XLR in .308 Marlin Express. Its a sweet flat shooter. All my hunts with that gun have been single shot kills. Nice and clean. I'm getting into archery this year also, hoping to have enough practise in to hunt white tail with the bow in the fall.

Ages 12-18 can have a minors licence which allows them to borrow a non restricted firearm, but not technically own it. Once you turn 18, you need to apply for a PAL (Possession Acquisition Licence) which allows you to possess and purchase firearms and ammunition. You can also do another course and exam to get a restricted PAL which allows ownership of handguns with barrels of more than 4". In Canuckistan anything less than 4" is a prohibited, as well as fully automatic weapons... I'm not the most knowledgeable on the topic, but know enough to get by...
