It’s a 1000 mile round trip to pick it up I may be able to get it alittle cheaper but I want to use whatever I buy so for parts only I’m out unless it’s salvageable. I’m a back yard mechanic but have a lot of specialty tools and can do more than most home mechanic guys so if it’s cheap enough it may be worth fixing but if there are other crew cabs out there in better shape for the same roundabout price I’d rather get one of those. I really just need a cab with rear doors and rear interior

Oh my, I didnt realize it was that far of a haul for you to go get. I try to limit my area to about 4 or 5 hours one way if I am buying it for parts. I'd drive anywhere in the states to buy a running driving truck tho. Just depends how bad you want something.

You can directly contact me via email if that is allowed at castenholz01@yahoo.com

This thing runs so well that it passed the emissions test itself but failed the equipment inspection. I can't even get the damn title in my name until it passes nor can I get a plate so I can legally drive it and my 30 day pass is almost up.

Send you an email RV Daddy01

wondering what motor is in your 75. Sorry no help on the identity of your ps box

Brake boosters...

Anyone know what the criteria are to determine whether a crew cab came from the factory with a single or dual diaphragm brake booster? Was it based on:

F-250 vs. F-350
a trim level
motor size
whether drum/drum vs disc/drum brakes

or did all crews come with a dual diaphragm booster? At NAPA they don't differentiate between 2dr or 4dr so they say the drum/drum F-250 is single diaphragm booster.

My 75 F-350 I owned a couple of years back had a dual diaphragm booster on it. It was a 460 with disc/drum.

The 75 F-250 I currently own only had a few different boosters (single & dual diaphragm) in the bed of the truck when I bought it so I'm not sure what it originally had on it.

I'm running a single diaphragm off the 390 motor with drum/drum bakes currently, but I don't know if that is the factory application.

My 79 Crew cab short bed 2wd F250 has a single diaphragm. I think only the F350 got the dual diaphragm.

Is that gear vendor overdrive worth the money. Do you actually get better gas mileage for the money?
As for the door pnls for now you can cut some diamond plate to fit till you find some OEM pnls.

My 79 f250 crew has a dual diaphragm booster. It's also the "heavy duty" twin piston brake calipers like come on f350's. Maybe dual diaphragm f250's also come with twin piston calipers? 400 and np435 factory.
