It looks just like mine. Those wheels look great too.
That's my truck! It looks like you still have the original trim too. It's way better than the replacement ones.

I figured out why mine was running so bad.
Timing. Way off. I have at 8• now. Runs like a champ. Using lots of fuel because I can't keep my foot out of it.
These things are fun to work on. Like a tractor. Bolt off bolt on. Finding the pieces is the work part.
My winter goal is to put the ac back on mine. All the vacume lines and stuff. I'm not looking forward to it.
It was an all original loaded xlt truck. Had all the bells and whistles offered by Ford. Colors were original too. Well I sold this truck last year and it no longer looks anything like this. Its now a lifted 4x4, cummins engine, and painted solid green.
Just seems odd to put a cummins in a ford. But. I'd do it if I was willing to spend the dough.
I'll do it to mine some day. If I can teach my boy how to drive a stick. Kids don't grow up on tractors any more. Not a lot of back roads you can get away with driving on teaching a 13 yrold.
Whatever you have now. Good luck. Old trucks rule.
There has to be some somewhere.
I agree with the cummins comment. I like to see the old Fords with a Powerstroke but I do understand that a Cummins swap is much easier. I would just hate to hear a "Dodge" off in the distance, only to turn around and see its an old Ford with a Cummins....
Well after years of wishing i finally picked me up a crewcab. Its a 79 with a 460 and c6, 2wd shortbed. Spent most of its life as a university of nebraska work truck. PO had it 10-11 years since. 56,000 miles, thought to be original. Everything is in great shape, runs great and all around a very solid truck. Plans are to go lower. It has a cheap plug and play air ride on it now on drop beams. Plan on a crown vic front and redoin all air suspension to lay it all the way out on some 24" centerline smoothies. After that ill do paint and body back original but will probably do a grill swap to round headlights just because of personal preferance. Other than that itll stay all original and will be my daily driver.
I remember seeing that truck for sle on CL not too long ago. If you get a chance make a build thread over at Old Ford Crew Cabs' site. We dont have any lowider threads that I know of. It will be one of a kind! Good luck!

I have been trying to get registered on that sight forever (old ford cc). They never confirm my email or answer my emails about getting registered.
That will definitely be a unique CC with 24's and lowered. Looking forward to seeing that build.
